@ Kanzen. Then what one am I thinking of? I swore I saw a new Zombie movie with Gun wielding Zombies. hmmm. I could be mistaken

You're probably thinking of Land of the Dead, in which the zombie's evolve and expand their capacities. Yes, they begin to use tools, weapons, and even develop the idea of planning attacks.

I thought the dawn of the dead remake was a much better movie, the concept of zombies thinking and planning seems strange.

@franklin...why are you still posting, the pre-zombie looting already did you in, damn..your chance for survival is probably like -27%

Paranoid much?

It's not necessarily paranoid to be somewhat prepared, even for something like a natural disaster.

George said in an interview, that the series was a build up of how we could be so easily over turned, and no longer be the dominant species. And of course, in order to become a dominant species, you have to have basic intellect in order to conquer any other species.

Dawn of the Dead remake is less of a social commentary and demonstration of the inability of having a collective will, and more of a demonstration of what could happen if suddenly we were no longer at the top. If you were to say that DotD2004 was an experiment's results, Romero's works would be the hypothesis, theory, observation of experiment, and the results.

Technically 28 Days Later, and 28 Weeks Later are not zombie flicks, they operate under the same premise though. That and the movie's focus was on humans response and adaption to being displaced.

It is around midnight here, I'm alone, I have 2 days worth of food + a few plants for desert. I'm in good physical shape, I can run or swim long and fast.

I have an airgun (useless) and a few hunting knives (also useless). I have a sport car in the parking.

I never listen to the TV or radio, so unless someone calls me to tell me about the invasion, the only place I might hear about it is from Kanzen on the front page of WBW. Otherwise, I swear I'll open the door if a Zombie knocks on it. So save my damn life and post a warning.

After 2 days, I know I'm going to get out of my secure condo, for some reason (food?). After which I will quickly die. I give myself 10% top.

Without the original cast involved in any way - and being another Hollywood "the first movie was good and sold well - so lets give them MORE" game plan - don't expect too much or you'll be disappointed.

Interesting thread. I knew Kanzen would post multiple times in this one.

Actually both are far from useless.

1. Airgun can be used as a tool for setting off distraction triggers.
2. Hunting knifes are excellent for close combat, several direct hits to the prefrontal lobe should render a zombie dead.
3. Hunting knifes are excellent for destruction of the cerebellum, one or two hits from the low and back of the zombie's skull will render the zombie inable to function.

Once the looters become slow moving zombies i would be better off- the first threat is the madness that the non zombies will present- unless you can fortify a Walmart in 60 minutes...just dont go to a fucking shopping mall

I will answer that statement,Daggett. It is not paranoid to be prepared for a worst case event.Major, tornadoes, ice storms, blizzards, and earthquakes can happened in my part of the world. If some kind of pandemic happened or say the Yellowstone Caldera erupted, are you going to depend on the, city, state,or national government to take care of your basic needs.Yes,be prepared for looters and worse.

@Franklin

More slow zombies and more wal-mart...they might not be track stars but nothing says that cant have a reasonable speed...and do all your cities have a habbit of leaving wal marts open and completely empty?

Plus franklin...your already dead man, the looters slapped you..and you ended up crying to death.
