@ gtbgmaniak When new My Porsche was a 60,000$ car and that was in 1986

So, you are saying your Porsche is cheap or what?

Goatman, as I say again to tune a Ferrari or a car that costs at least 150000 dollars is an insult and the worst ricing possible. So, you are a mean ricer and talk about Camaros with engines that work 2 weeks and become junk after that. Take that

ok, just tell me something, why the f**k would you want to edit this car???

The look I have all ways hated ford GT 40s. Fugly and hit the air like a brick. And my last name is Ford.

also my car is not cheap in no way shape or form. I just beat a hopped up 'stang sunday I toped out a 120 and let him run up to me before I took off. Never saw him after that.

The problem with modding out a Ford is when you're done spending your "X" number of dollars upgrading it...in the end...you still have a Ford....same goes for the guys putting money into their hondas and nissans.....when it's all said and done, and you've put your last 10 paychecks into your car, you still only have a honda....why don't you just save the money and buy a BMW or Mercedes....

Alot of guys use the arguement that "they can't afford an expensive car, so they resort to upgrading their cheap car"....well....thats the worst argument ever, because you're spending money on that car that could go to a nicer one....

Now...A newer Ferrari will not only have better resale value than a newer Ford (regardless of model), but it will get you more tail....I say "newer" because almost all classic cars either keep their value or go up. (And no, you're 1989 honda will NEVER be a classic car...)

And please....I really do hope you people know the difference between a professional Drag Racer vs. a Ricer....
All this talk of "street legal nissan that does 6's" and "i know someone who has a camaro that does 6-7's" is dumb....
Because these people are not your average ricer....
This is why....

1) The amount of money to make a 2,000 pound car run times like that is more than most of you make in a year. Do any of you know how much horsepower it takes to run times like that? I almost bet 98% of you don't.
2) One Top Fuel dragster 500 cubic inch Hemi engine makes more horsepower than the first 4 rows at the Daytona 500.
3) Under full throttle, a Top Fuel dragster engine consumes 1½ gallons of nitro methane per second; a fully loaded 747 consumes jet fuel at the same rate with 25% less energy being produced.
4) A stock Dodge 426 Hemi V8 engine cannot produce enough power to drive the dragster's supercharger. (isn't that whats is in the Ford GT?)
5) With 3000 CFM of air being rammed in by the supercharger on overdrive, the fuel mixture is compressed into a near-solid form before ignition. Cylinders run on the verge of hydraulic lock at full throttle.
6) At the stoichiometric 1.7:1 air/fuel mixture for nitro methane the flame front temperature measures 7050 degrees F.
7) Dual magnetos supply 44 amps to each spark plug. This is the output of an arc welder in each cylinder.
8) Spark plug electrodes are totally consumed during a pass. After 1/2 way, the engine is dieseling from compression plus the glow of exhaust valves at 1400 degrees F. The engine can only be shut down by cutting the fuel flow.
9) If spark momentarily fails early in the run, unburned nitro builds up in the affected cylinders and then explodes with sufficient force to blow cylinder heads off the block in pieces or split the block in half.
10) In order to exceed 300 mph in 4.5 seconds dragsters must accelerate at an average of over 4G's. In order to reach 200 mph well before half-track, the launch acceleration approaches 8G's.
11) Dragsters reach over 300 miles per hour before you have completed reading this sentence.
12) Top Fuel Engines turn approximately 540 revolutions from light to light!
13) Including the burnout the engine must only survive 900 revolutions under load.
14) The Bottom Line; Assuming all the equipment is paid off, the crew worked for free, and for once NOTHING BLOWS UP, each run costs an estimated $1,000.00 per second. The current Top Fuel dragster elapsed time record is 4.441 seconds for the quarter mile (10/05/03, Tony Schumacher). The top speed record is 333.00 mph (533 km/h) as measured over the last 66' of the run (09/28/03 Doug Kalitta).

You guys really think that for 20,000 bucks you can make your camaro come even close to this running 6's???

Putting all of this into perspective:
You are riding the average $250,000 Honda MotoGP bike. Over a mile up the road, a Top Fuel dragster is staged and ready to launch down a quarter mile strip as you pass. You have the advantage of a flying start. You run the
RC211V hard up through the gears and blast across the starting line and past the dragster at an honest 200 mph (293 ft/sec). The 'tree' goes green for both of you at that moment. The dragster launches and starts after you.
You keep your wrist cranked hard, but you hear an incredibly brutal whine that sears your eardrums and within 3 seconds the dragster catches and
passes you. He beats you to the finish line, a quarter mile away from where you just passed him.
Think about it, from a standing start, the dragster had spotted you 200 mph and not only caught, but nearly blasted you off the road when he passed you within a mere 1320 foot long race course.
That, folks, is acceleration....a real drag car.....

You know what is funny I have an 84 chevy pickup that is lifted 6 inches with 35s on it. It has a 350 with mostly edelbrock stuff like intake manifold, cam, and Carb. It also has ceramic headers and flowmasters. I raced one of those gay little honda civic SI's the other day. I killed it off the line and I slowed down at about 60 cuz i didnt want the cops to catch me. It was my friends car and he was all mad that I beat. Those pieces of trash have no horsepower and are not fast at all. What pieces of junk they dont even look cool they look like a regular car to me. I hate honda civics and Subaru WRXs the most. One new thing that i think is pretty cool in that genre is the new Chevy Cobalt SS it looks pretty sweet.

tell me again how expensive it is to setup a completely blown block like that? oh yeah and keep in mind how much u gotta spend every time u compete with it? dont get me wrong...when i see topfuels go down the track my dick gets hard but the people running them are millionaires

oh yea...and how the hell does the gts, "hit the air like a brick" when they are so low to the ground? they have good aerodynamics...btw what kind of car do you own?
