Since I've posted my Mt Lassen pic I may as well post the canyon lookout that I was at when I took it

Battle Creek Canyon......





T.K. way in the bottom of this canyon is a trout stream that is still OK with planters. But, when I was younger it was awesome native fishing !

I like to just drive the back roads and sometimes I find pics worth taking .....

this was one of those times !

It was the spring of this year when I found this momma goat having kids !

I watched as she had 3 , it was amazing (not all of the pics I took will be posted)

But, here she is....

dragoon mountain stronghold where the great apache chief cochise & his small band of braves held off the U.S. army for 10 years.

cow in the road at I-10 exit 318 dragoon rd. the original glenn ford movie "3:10 to yuma" was filmed in this area known as texas canyon

this beetle crawled out from a gopher hole under a tree i was watering at my buddy's cabin. it was chomping on an ant in this pic. it had some nasty claws

so you can get an idea of the size of that beetle. here it is crossing a standard 3/4 inch hose.
