More Gary Johnson votes than I thought he'd get. If he was only polling at 11% in the actual polls....

Kanzen. you deal in facts...bravo...RMoney will likely win the election however because racism has returned like crazy since Obama was elected. RMoney has no platform...just lies...he has no position at all. The last presidential debate he agreed 100% with everything Obama said. RMoney was like, "see I'm just like him...but white.

The GOP hammering away at Obama being Kenyan, Muslim, "not like us" yada, yada...was purposeful. It worked. Where I live, the racist whites have now started to openly use the "n-word." It's all good again.

23% fewer whites in America...in every age category...are voting for Obama than they did last time. They just can't stand a 1/2 white man - 1/2 black man in the White House. They want a white guy...they really don't care if he has any plan at all.

Bain, which was created by RMoney had a 5-point plan created by RMoney...that's why he keeps talking about his "5-point plan" for America, which he did call a "company." And Mitt has never stated what his 5-point plan is. All you have to do is follow his 5-point plan for companies he Bain-ed.

1) Harvest any profit centers. (In America, that means find all the areas where the government does work very well then privatize each one...sold to whom do you suspect.?)

2) Any manufacturing jobs a company has...layoff those workers and out-source those jobs to China (In America that means end any medical care and retirement funds of Federal workers...cut wages drastically...if they won't take them...fire them. End any unions)

3) Take all retirement and medical account monies (In America that means end Medicare and privatize Social Security)

4) Any viable profit center left in the company after 1, 2 and 3 above...saddle with huge debts by using what's left of the company as collateral. The company usually limps along...but can't pay it's new ginomous debt load. The company goes bankrupt and disapears...YOU make a killing becaus YOU shorted the company...the very company YOU purposefully caused to die....WIN, WIN, WIN for the vulture Bain. (In America, this means doing the same thing...created a ginormous debt load...exactly as the GOP did during Reagan's term, G. H Bush's term and G. W Bush's term...then you can claim the national debt has to be delt with...it's an emergency! Of course, you created the emergency)

5) Sell off all assets of value. (In America, that means Mitt will sell off all federal and public lands to corporations to mine and drill and cut all the trees down. End the EPS so they can do what they want without any concern for the environment. Keep in mind America is the ONLY country in the world that gets NO money from companies that mine and drill. NONE. All the mineral rights are sold to the companies...in other words, the rich get rich while the actual land gets raped and the "common man" gets nothing but loses the open land)

THIS is RMoney's 5-point plan. If you aren't super rich already, you will NOT do well at all. He will cause middle class taxes to go UP $2000 more per year. He will end ObamaCare. He will voucherize Medicare which will cause those over 65 years of age to pay $6000-7000 more for health care every year WHILE being forced to buy private health insurance...BUT WAIT...they won't be able to get it at all...because with ObamaCare ended, pre-existing conditions again will dissallow you from being able to buy health insurance.

All Mitt's side needs to do is 1) stir up white racism. Check...done. 2) screw up voting in "swing states." Check...doing that...only the GOP has been caught doing massive voter and registration fraud in Colorado, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio. Interesting no? The GOP controlled legislatures in those states are doing voter suppression (which magically only really affects Democrats) while doing massive voter fraud themselves...which, of course, is the very reason they sited in doing voter suppression.

Tagg Romney bought the electronic voting machine company that will do the OHIO votes...hummm...will there be a repeat of 2004 when 350,000 Ohio votes for Kerry were changed to be votes for G. W. Bush after they were funneled into a supercomputer in Tennessee run by Dick Cheny's #2.

Another thing happening in America is public money (collected taxes) are being funneled to the very rich and NOT going for the common good, which is the reason there are taxes to begin with. I'll include a link to a diary I wrote explaining the political history since 1980 in America. There are charts and graphs...it is all true...FACTS...the diary starts out with a bit about a local race for US House of Representatives that will be won by a multimillionaire rice farmer who takes $millions from the Federal Government each year in farm subsidies...YET wants to end helping the middle class. As we say IOKIYAR (Its O K If Your A Republican). The information down in the diary in the link below is ONLY for people who still deal in reality and truth. If you want your mind to be white-washed...where you only think from your amygdala...don't read it...FACTS are not your friend.

I agree. I wouldn't vote for Romney for a multitude of reasons, but I really don't care to participate in this if it's going to turn into a debate. Kanzen hit on most of my reasons anyway.

I think that Romney lacks any identifiable plan for how to improve the economy. Simply saying that he's a businessman and that he's run successful businesses in the past doesn't mean anything as far as how to handle the economy. And I wouldn't want the government to be run like a private business anyway. I've worked for large businesses that were profitable for most of my life. They aren't set up to provide for a quality of life for the employees and they aren't profitable for those that aren't in the the upper levels. They stay profitable because they provide as little as possible to everyone underneath leadership as they can get away with without sacrificing the company output enough to impact the bottom line.

Think this trend will continue?

It's 51.25% to 40% in favor of Romney as I type this. And yes, I think this trend will largely continue.

The reason for this is demographics. If I'm not mistaken, wbw has a lot more white people on here than racial or ethnic minorities. White people support Romney over Obama at a rate somewhat similar to this poll. Not to mention that Romney has the edge with men, whereas Obama has the edge with women. There are obviously more men on this site than there are women.

So it's kind of interesting to see how this is shaking out, but I don't think anyone expects the poll to be all that representative of the general population.

I completely agree Paradise_50 and Kylecook.

One thing I forgot to mention is that, both Romney and Ryan have stated in public avenues they want to dismantle the EPA. And just recently, as Hurricane Sandy hits, Romney said he wanted to close down or make huge cuts to FEMA (and possibly NOAA). Now, I think FEMA is a bloated organization that could use some serious reforms, but they don't need to be closed down as they are out there right now trying to help people.

But of course the, "mainstream-liberal-media" hasn't said a fucking word about it on any station.

You're right that the demographics are skewed in my poll. The sample size is large enough, but who are the people voting? I wish I could have done multiple polls within this thread, and ask if the person was white, black, asian, etc...or if they were a man or woman. Also what part of the country would be fairly interesting. While the results may not be perfect, they currently show Romney ahead of Obama...like most polls are now showing. The other interesting bit of data, is how well Johnson is polling. That could be due to me not giving an 'undecided' option though.

TOTAL Bullshit.

When I eat chicken, I don't care if that chicken was white, black, red or mottled. As long as it tastes good, it works.

When I vote, white, black, red or mottled... as long as he/she gets the job done. Obama is not getting the job done. The list of reasons why I would not vote for Obama is long, and color is not on the list. Herman Cain was my favorite among the early republicans.

Does some racism still exist? Sure does. Is it wrong? Sure is. Are there racist blacks? Sure are.

No person is going to be elected to office because of the racist vote.

Maybe not solely because of the racist vote, but the fact is that there is a certain percentage of the population that will not vote Obama simply because the color of his skin. I doubt that its 23% like Paradise states, but there is a percentage. With the race being as close as it is, that group may just give Romney the win.

I should clarify that my first post, I am not a vehement supporter of Obama. His record on Civil Rights and Domestic Spying absolutely disgusts me; but again in a FPTP Voting system will always fuck us over. So yeah, I have to vote for the lesser evil. Obama isn't perfect, but he sure as hell less likely going to hand over the remaining national wealth to the top 1%. Romney is like the manifestation of what is wrong right now. Buying companies, firing off people, sending jobs overseas in droves, selling off the companies for cash, and then hiding his money in foreign banks and tax havens so that he doesn't give back. People that seriously think a man that has spent most of his life accumulating his vast fortune (estimations up to 250M) has their backs have to be insane.

NO BULLSHIT bustMall...how old are you? Did you live through the Civil Rights and Women's Rights era? I'll bet $10,000 of Mitt's money you didn't...AND, if you won't accept FACTs...you are nothing more than an ego with an attitude...true dat.

Here is another FACT about Willard...brought to you by Calvin Johnson (yep...that Calvin Johnson...tax expert):

"Romney's main asset was his partnership interest in Bain Capital. Bain Capital was a leveraged buyout fund, which made its money by buying all of the stock of target companies and replacing most of the stock with debt. The replacement of stock with debt got rid of almost all the corporate tax of the acquired corporations because the interest on the debt was deductible. Getting rid of corporate tax by the acquisition typically meant that Bain Capital would increase the value of its investment in the small residual stock it held by two to nine times, just by taking over the target company. The big multiple increase in value was immediate. The subsequent growth in value of the acquired stock would be more modest and losses were common. When Romney made his contribution to the kids' trust and his retirement trust the enhancement had already occurred. It is likely that the partnership interests were worth $25 million to $75 million when contributed, judging by what a smart buyer would pay for them, which is too large to fit under the $1 million gift tax exemption or the limitations on contributions to the retirement trust.
Misvaluation of that order of magnitude is subject to a penalty of 400 percent of the tax at issue, without regard to the subjective state of mind of the contributor. For Romney, the misevaluation penalty would be many tens of millions of dollars."

littlechicken...you are showing your total ignorance in how America is governed. The US House of Representatives and the GOP minority in the Senate have stopped Obama from doing anything since the Tea Party take over of 2010. The filibuster was used in the Senate sparingly...a tad over 50 times total in all the decades it's been in place. It has been used MORE in the past 2 years by the GOP than in all previous years combined...by a 2:1 ratio.

States made that are by "egos with attitudes," are why I this is my sig line ---> "ignorance is bliss for the ignorant. The rest of us must suffer the consequences."

But hey, they are really expecting lots and lots and lots of "the ignorant" to vote for them. And just how old are you littlechicken? Don't you find it interestng (I'm sure you've never even realized this)...that you and bustMall just have one thought used to justify why you'll vote for RMoney? Just read the diary I wrote and linked to...learn a little something. Are you involved in politics? Do you know how Washington works? Are you aware of just how totally different the GOP has behaved since 2010 in "not governing" but simply "blocking?" Really...I'd like to know.

Sugarpie..I'm extremely involved in politics...I'm working on two campaigns this cycle. The 23% difference in white voters this cycle is a true fact. I don't put out bullshit...just facts. The reason I do so is to allow those who are still conscious, rational and reality based to learn the truth and then decide for themselves what they want to do.

I believe still in "critical thinking." I was brought up in the USA during a time that was how it worked. Interesting that the state of Texas recently passed a law making critical thinking illegal to teach in public schools...geez, I wonder why?

Hide your racism behind a veil of ignorance. Best path for you right? I guess your screenname is fitting. Yeah, let's give the guy who has the same economic basis as Bush run the country again. His whole thing worked out fine right? If trickle down economics worked, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now as a country.

Wealth doesn't trickle down, it just goes offshore by the tune of $21 Trillion.

Almost 50. Best friend in college was black. Used to go home with him on the weekends. Experienced "black" about as close as a white cracker can, I guess.

Your "facts" are what you fall back on when you run out of excuses.

So you're telling me that over the course of 4 years. 23% of the white people that voted for Obama last time have suddenly become racist? I don't believe that. Show me your proof.
