sugarpie, that is the point, are we willing to start over today, make everyone equal, no looking back? The reason I ask, is because I want to see how stongly you feel about this issue of being equal, or if you just want to pick and choose what you want.

Your culture makes you different from other people. And apparently that's absolutely terrible. So I demand that you give up your "American Culture", and your "White Guy Culture", and your "Straight Culture" because it makes you different from others. And it, apparently, makes you better than others.

And since one of your primary arguments was about making sure that they can't be different, or better than you, why can you allow yourself to be different or better than others?

the big one flaw behind your logic is that you believe that gay people, latinos, blacks and such have a culture but you dont, you are just yourself, being "natural" and as close to adam and eve as anyone could be.

So to you, for minorities to have rights would automatically mean become more like you a WASP but only gay or latino.

So for you, it they want to get married they should stop dooing whatever it is that you think is purely minority specific. therwise it would be having the best of both worlds.

I respect the fact that you have your opinion and I have mine...I know we're never going to agree. In all honesty, if we were face to face, I would never be able to have a discussion with you like this because I'd back off. So in a very frustrating way (lol) this is enlightening. One thing you have to understand is if we could go back in time and truely make everyone equal, then that would mean no discrimination, no fear, no parents disowning you. So yeah I would be behind that 100% if it could happen. It can't though...so I'm gonna make damn sure that my voice is heard, that I'm not treated like someone who doesn't matter.
