Well, if we're going to compare brags, I've been getting hit on by the gays since you were still an underage moderator of a porn site!
This was just the most recent event.
I've been invited to a "video watching" party by a guy renting all-male adult films, and by the tailor at JC Penny, and some random fella who slickly asked if I worked at a local gay bar, and when I replied that I never had, immediately fired back, "Well, would you like to go there with me?" which, though I politely declined, I found a decent and deft proposal. Among various other propositions and compliments.
In depressing-but-more-important-than-whether-Bangs-or-I-are-hotter-to-the-gays news, I just retweeted this:

Just this:
Quote:
Food production rates are already getting lower, with crop yields dropping. Most studies project yields dropping even more over time, with half the studies showing a 10 percent or (far) more drop by the end of the century. More people (millions) will be displaced due to coastal and waterway flooding as sea level rises. There will be even more extreme weather events, including more droughts in some places and more rainfall in others. The dynamics of marine organisms will be profoundly altered, including shifting migrations of species due to warming waters, ocean acidification, and changing oxygen levels in water (warm water holds less dissolved gas in it). Those “oxygen minimum zones” are expanding over time as well. The examples in the report march on for quite some length. It’s grave.

Good thing I'm secretly building a doomsday survival compound with self sustaining capacity. Suckers.

Stockpiling baked beans in your closet doesn't count as a "survival compound."

Its interesting though, I mean...you can see of of this happening right now, in a snapshot moment if you will...and you can expand that snapshot to include decades and even centuries if you want, but is that enough? Maybe it part of a bigger cycle, maybe its not.

Man, those were good times. Not at all filled with a double standard.
Bangles: "Hey girl, you're 17. You can't be on this site. This is for adults only."
Girl: "But I know you're 17. You're here."
Bangles: "Uhh... hmm... yeah, but I don't have uhh... 40 year old guys asking for my nudes. Mostly. You're too young to be here."
Girl: "We're the same age."
Bangles: "Yeah, you wanna be friends? Just not on this site here?"
Girl: "Sure."
That went down like 3-4 times.

Eh, the science of human caused global warming is pretty well settled. But then, even if you don't believe in it, the downside of it being true is MUCH MUCH more catastrophic than the costs associated with doing what we can to curtail greenhouse gas emissions in the event it turns out not to be true (but it is).
Probabilistically, look at worst case scenarios. If you have, say, a 5% chance of widespread human devastation, the downside is so much costlier than whatever the costs associated with mitigating CO2/greenhouse gas emissions.
Worst case if they're wrong: We've decreased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere at the expense of some economic activity, GDP growth, etc.
Worst case if they're right: A disaster of Biblical proportions.
