I am a parent of a 12 year old girl. I don't see any difference between the two cases you describe. I'm not sure that most 16 year olds would be capable of fully understanding the ramifications of a sexual relationship especially one involving someone old enough to be their parent. I can see how a 16 year old might be attracted to someone older and I can see how a mature 16 year old could possibly be attractive to an adult. Being attracted doesn't mean you act on it and as the adult you have the responsibility to stay within certain boundaries. If I were the parent of the 16 year old girl or boy in your descriptions I would press charges without hesitation. Having been a 16 year old boy I can imagine the thrill of sex with a sexy older woman but it wouldn't be healthy and it wouldn't be legal.

here in oz 16 is the legal age of consent, so it really isn't a problem from the legal side.

on the moral side, we tend to judge the 40 y.o. woman more harshly but that's just the way society is.

neither one bothers me as far as the age is concerned... as a father I dont want any guy with her although I know she does it with several and she has told me so. Where I am 16 is legal and at that age they can make that choice... Besides as strange as it may sound the older ones would probably treat her better than most of the horny retards she has been with so far. Plus the way i look at it we have 13 and 14 year olds getting charged as adults in court but then we turn around and say that a 16 year old is getting taken advantage of because shes too young?

Im 19 years old so i have only been out of highschool for a few years so i have to say that when i do have kids there is a chance they would be better off with a 40 year old responsible stable adult then half of these other 16 year olds that are scum. alot of people dont understand how the highschool scene is now. I mean come on people in my highschool we had a place in the school where you knew you didnt sneek back there inless you wanted to see naked people and you think a 40 year old is bad?

If my 16 year old son is getting it from a 40yr old woman and im surfing porn, that botheres me. Atleast he can post some pics.
