Consentual or Rape??

I know both would bother me. Love does have bounds. The whole Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes thing bothers me. !7 year age difference is a lot. This means that when Katie Holmes into stuffed animals and having fun with Sesame Street dolls, Tom Cruse was into ass and tits. That's a little unnerving. So the whole 24 years of difference is definitely a no-go, in my opinion.

I meant that is legal by law, if ever that would have happened, it means that I can't press any charges. BUT I can find justice OUT of COURT by calling a few friends. And I do have a 14 year old daughter, and a lot of friends in the military, police and the government

Neither scenario makes me very comfortable, but there isn't anything inherently wrong about either.

Abuse always rears its ugly head when there is a disparity of power and knowledge between the participants, which there obviosuly would be in both those cases.

How and ever, a 40-year old man and/or woman could potentially be much more sensitive and caring lover than a 16 year old of either sex. Lord knows, my first sexual experiences (I was 16) must have been a bit of a trial for my poor girlfriend - I wasn't exactly Casanova. However, there was a wonderful charm in the innocence of mutual discovery (although my first lover wasn't a virgin, I was her 2nd we were the same age) which would obviously be lost with a big age gap. There's obviously a trade-off, and I think it'd be a bit unfortunate to lose that innocence, but consent is consent, and you can be conned/abused just as easily by someone your own age. And yes, I do have a kid.

Nope. My daughter is only 26 and she's married and has two kids.

16 is the legal age in Finland.

But my opinion is, a guy aged 40 fucking 16 year old, that's fucking digusting and sick. I know few 30 year old blokes who still chase teenage pussy, because they're so easy. Not my friends, if they were, I'd kick some sense to their heads.

yep, and some people wonder why we can be really protective of our kids

Seems most feel it is screwed up. I am 45 and due to one of my past times, I have had girls as young as 18-25 flirt with me. Even though they are of legal age, I find myself wanting to ask them if their daddy knows how they are acting.... About the youngest I can go and actually have some kind of relationship is maybe 35 or so. Much younger than that and they start to piss me off when they began to talk.
