First of all, great thread. Don't know how I missed it before today. Never really watched a live cam show so pardon my ignorance, but how are you able to maintain a connection and/or certain level of intimacy with an entire group of people (hundreds?) at the same time? That seems like a skill that could come in handy in business world. Is there a limit to the number of people watching you at any time during a show? Do you get paid by the number of viewers or just on tips?

You don't need to maintain intimacy. It's more voyeurism than anything. They do private shows if someone wants to role play. Otherwise, guys tip to have the girl keep playing with herself more than anything.

I could not disagree with you more. There are 22,000 models that work on my site, 20,000 of them last a month or two. The reason they don't last is because they don't offer anything special. They spread their legs in public chat and people watch them cum, hardly anyone tips them because they don't feel any connection. There are thousands of girls that offer this. The ones that stick around, the successful ones try and make everyone in the room feel special, or at minimum, focus on 10, 20, 50 people, and connect with them. If you can do that, and there is a mutual respect between model and member, you're going to do well. There are several models on my site, that are consistently top earners, that never take of a stitch of clothing.

There is no limit to the number of people in your room. I've had a few hundred, but I've seen rooms with 7000 before. Obviously, its hard to maintain any sort of conversation with that many people, but generally if there is that many, the girl or girls are probably in the middle of some crazy show. A fairly normal high room count would be 1500.

I do, if I can get a word in amongst some of the other guys that are already ripping them apart. I don't notice it on MFC mostly if I go on streammate. Which is why I never go on that anymore.

I hear this lots actually. And there certainly is a lot more to camming (at least successful camming) than getting naked, but I'm sure you know that from this thread. There are site that guys and couples can cam on, though they generally don't make as much money, and I think it helps if the guys are open minded - if you know what I mean.

I think for the most part it probably mirrors society.

Sugar, thanks for the information. Unfortunately most of it is useless because most of it is not true. Many girls do multi shows on different sites at once. In fact, M.F.C. discourages it, as you stated because it can affect your cam score. But it's not against any rule, that I'm aware of. In post 215 you asked how do you cam on multiple sites, asking if it was the cam or the software. Then in 217 you say that your GF has been doing it for a year already.

You are right that it isn't against ALL cam sites to broadcast on multiple sites, but it is against some. Your GF may get lucky and may never get caught, or the admins may simply choose to ignore it. Technically public masturbation is against M.F.C rules and well...if you've ever spent time on the site, you'll see that it isn't enforced. Regardless of whether or not its against the rules, I honestly suggest she thinks twice about it. The most successful models don't do it because they're successful by engaging to their audience, getting to know regulars, acknowledging new people in the room, chatting and joking around with the members...and focusing all their energy on that room...you can't do that when you multi-site cam. I know plenty of very successful models on M.F.C. CB and SM and NONE of them multi-site cam...and I don't know a single model who does multi-site cam thats hugely successful.

She just didn't know what that program was, until now when I found out.
