Well, Meat won't be home until REALLY late, so he's in sandwich city. I had a salad.

Iceberg salad bag, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, crispy popcorn chicken, bacon bits, shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing.

The cats ate most of the bacon and chicken when I stepped outside to answer the phone!

We're having baked potatoes and sausage. It's a really simple, filling, comfort food kinda meal.

For a pound of italian sausage, cut into half inch slices or remove casing and make bite size balls.

Wash and/or peel about 4 large potatoes and cut into chunks.

Peel and cut into chunks 1 pound carrots.

Throw it all in a casserole dish and mix it up.

Pour one envelope onion soup mix over the whole thing.

Add a half cup water and mix it all well.

Bake covered with tinfoil at 350* for 30 min.

Remove foil and stir.

Continue baking for an additional 20 to 35 minutes or until the carrots and potatoes are tender.

Reuben Casserole With Crumb Topping

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 1/2 to 2 cups diced corned beef, about 8 ounces
* 16 ounces sauerkraut, preferably fresh, drained and rinsed, squeezed dry
* 2 tablespoons grated onion
* 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
* 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
* 1/2 cup light Thousand Island dressing
* 1/4 cup mayonnaise, light or regular
* 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* .
* Topping
* 3 slices rye bread
* 2 tablespoons butter, melted

PREPARATION:
Spray an 8-inch square (2-quart) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Heat oven to 350°.

In a large bowl, combine corned beef, sauerkraut, onion, cheeses, dressing, mayonnaise, and pepper; stir with a spoon or hands until well blended.
Pat into prepared baking dish.

Tear bread into pieces and process until crumbs are fine. Put in a bowl and toss with the melted butter. Sprinkle crumbs over the casserole. Bake for 45 minutes, until topping is browned and filling is bubbly.

This is awesome!!

sauerkraut the best way .....
bake 250 grams of ground beef till its nice 'n brown, add a clove of chopped garlic and a chopped red union let bake for a couple of minutes, add a cup of meat boullion let simmer for another five mins, add ground black pepper to your own taste

take a oven safe dish, fill it with the ground beef compound, on top of that you sprinkle a handful of raisins
( preferably big yellow ones, but any kind will do )

take a packet of sauerkraut and let it leak out ( do not rinse ) spread it evenly on top of the beef mixture,

take a piece of "mager rook spek" ( low fat smoked bacon)

and let it cook for 2/3 hours
peel 4 big potatoes and cook them in the water with the spek until they're done, slice them small ¼ centimeter slices and cover the sauerkraut with them,

now comes the tricky part, take a stick of butter, and make really thin slices lay those on top of the potatoes that are still warm, do not use more butter than you need to cover the whole dish,
sprinkle this layer with cinnamon and some more raisins,
take the rookspek and comb it to threads with a fork, sprinkle this on top of the taters and cover with another layer of taters,
cover the whole top with ground edammer cheese ( not to thick )

let this whole dish simmer in the oven at 170 ° celsius until the edammer is molten and turns a nice golden brown in some places

take out of the oven and serve with mustard ( preferrably coarse mustard )

i hope you'll enjoy, i know i did

it should look somewhat like this

By definition, Vodka is 100% NEUTRAL spirits. It has no flavor. Once the alcohol boils off you might as well
add sugar water. Leave it out and you will have a better tasting sauce and save money. Use the Vodka for drinks!

Not entirely correct. Vodka has a flavor. The closest comparison is pepper.

The refrigerator has 2 half-used gallons of old ass milk and Taco Bell condiments.

And in reserve I've got like... 40 dollars in poker winnings and a cell phone.
