This looks more like a summer scene from Colorado or Wyoming than my neck of the woods, where things are usually a lush green this time of year.

And I guess one never knows what they might find nestled between the hay bales

I think every place has it's beauty. Even if it's just a glimpse of something that reminds us of home. Sometimes, the lens hides the ugly that surrounds what appears to be pristine beauty. Sometimes, even the lens can't hide it.... like the power lines below.

Saturday night, me and the loverly Mrs. go for a top-down drive. Since my dry pic at the top of the page, we've had thunderstorms fairly regular for the past two weeks, and things have greened up amazingly.
There were small thunderstorms, like 1-5 miles across all over the area, and I used radar and GPS to skirt around them. I'd pull over and grab a pic any time something caught my eye.
My camera broke and is being fixed, so these are all just phone pics.... not too bad, considering.

I'd swing in behind a thunderstorm and catch a lot of these fresh rain drops collected on stuff.

Thanks all.
Demo, so did mine. I picked a clump and brought them back to her, she said, "Oh, so pretty, can you get me 4 more so I can dry them?".... so back through the wet grass I go.
I could take you there, but there's no way in hell, or God's green earth, that I could tell you how to get there.

And unless you caught them a few years back, you ain't likely to either. Don't do that no more.... though I guess she did go "Bottom's up" a page ago.
Thanks for the thread. I'd have never posted these on this site without it, and I've always liked to share my outdoor pics.
Enjoy the vacation! Going anywhere's special?
