Kevin I luv Lake Norman, it's a beautiful lake. I have enjoyed partying out there several times.......

Took a few the last couple of days while driving. A lot of ornamentals started dropping leaves in August, but then the rain came and most of the trees held on to their foliage. This has been one of the prettiest fall seasons I can remember. Unfortunately, a little rain the last 2 days has taken most of the maple and poplar leaves down just as the hills were about to peak. Oh well, here's the best of what I got.

That was it. Rain tonight probably ruined it around here.

I just found this thread! It's great! I took these a few years ago. I have tons of nice nature photos! I'm not sure why imgur messed the one up. The original doesn't look like that.

The Blue Ridge Parkway. I do a lot of hiking and camping. Now that I know this thread's here I'll dig some more up and post them!

BMA, I especially love the fall colours...I'm so jelly...we mostly only get various shades of yellow leaves here, not the orange and reds you get. Very pretty!

Thanks SP. don't know where abouts you are from, peterborough Ont is as far N as I've been. I would think the Trent river valley would be beautiful in late Sept early Oct.
