Thanks!

GA has diverse terrain from the Atlantic Coast to the foothills of the Appalachians.
The Appalachian Trail begins/ends at Springer Mountain.

I posted some Pics from Providence Canyon State Park starting at #277.
Here's a few from there so you need not go back. this is not too far South where the Boss is playing Army.

I think Mikata means burrito in Japanese so Bangs can get his burrito fix here.

Wow, some amazing pictures again. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. I'm sure that Bangs will be relieved to know that he can get a good ole fasioned japanesse burrito while he's on a weekend pass or whatever.

I am loving this thread. Good pics and I'm seeing a lot of places I hope to get to someday.

Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bighorn Sheep in Big Thompson Canyon, Colorado and Banks Lake on the Columbia River in Washington.

Here's 3 from Glacier National Park, Montana.

Finally, a couple from Dry Falls State Park in Washington. Before the last ice age this was a waterfall on the Columbia River over 400 feet high and over a mile across. That would have been quite the waterfall.

I found some slides but, alas, my scanner don't do transparent material. I'm stuck with stealing pics.

I took a canoe trip in the Okeefenokee Swamp back in the early 70's. It's awesome and eerie with diverse wildlife.

From the web ;

Description- A swamp is an area of land covered in still or slow-moving water, with plants growing in and around it. Only a few kinds of trees can grow in such waterlogged areas. These trees such as cypress trees have roots that stick out of the water to take in air. The Okefenokee Swamp gets its name for Choctaw Indian words which mean "quivering earth". The dark tea color of the water is due to tannic acid formed from decaying plant material and peat.
Location- The Okefenokee Swamp is located in southeastern Georgia. It is 38 miles in length and approximately 25 miles wide. The swamp covers almost 700 square miles.
What animals live there? - Alligators, marsh rabbits, otters, frogs, raccoons, dragonfly, ibis, and mosquitoes all live in the swamp.
What plants grow there? - Cypress trees, as seen at the top of the page, catttails and water lillies all grow in the swamp.
