Spring time = nesting season here in North America ... found a decent sunset going on at a Bald Eagle nest in central Minnesota

And in Wisconsin, there were tons of White-tailed deer in one spot, so I snapped a pic

Well I went "Drive About" yesterday and this is the result

I was looking for some caves that I visited in about '71. The Inskip Caves was my goal (I didn't find them this trip) it's amazing how shit changes over
30 odd years
I got to the top of the hill and just started clicking because the view was so awesome

This first one looks toward my home 40 miles or so away:

It's in that little yellow strip to the right of those two buttes just below the mountains

See that red area to the right? It's a volcanic cinder mine. they use it like salt on the roads here.

Closer, from the same spot.

On the way back down the road I took a few pics of flowers and bumbles, sadly this is the only one that turned out good

( I bumped a setting on my camera)

And last saturday I went back up there to visit a festival and stopped at the creek.

This was a sort-of hippie fest and they did some rock art in this beautiful creek(I approve! )

This is almost the same spot as above,I was standing on the rock in the center, the water is higher.

Well I've been exploring like crazy lately, but, I'm extremely lazy about saving and sharing I hope to post more soon!

I wish others would too!!!

Anyway the other day I went to my brothers new place and on the way I found this giant olive, it reminded me of when FeFe posted the Orange

shack months ago

If you eat olives they were probably processed in Corning, Ca. @ Bell Carter(even if the label says some other name) if not the worlds largest

consumer processor they are close ! This is at one of the local orchards.....

Please, add your photos

Cool pics Notech ... I wish I had mountains for background. That Mt. Shasta always looks pretty sweet. I've never understood the rock art. I've seen it a bunch of times hiking, but never see anyone in the process, so I can ask them why in the hell. To each his own I guess.

I haven't been out much, but here are a few from back in early June

Central MN - Sherburne NWR - driving along the refuge road and came across this

Something ate a fawn and left the head. Bobcat? Coyote? Black Bear? Couldn't tell you.

Also, another creature was at an overlook enjoying the view

And here is a wildflower from a couple weeks ago, same place, Central MN. It's a Turks Cap Lily (according to the wife)

OK OK I have to cheat because I'm too lazy to find and scan my slides I took in the 1960's

I found these shots on the web. This is Providence Canyon State Park located near Lumpkin, GA.

It is also known as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. I was there back in the olden days.
