Well an intresting and sometimes funny thread.

I think the reason why we know so much about the US in Europe is because of the huge influence the US have to our culture by movies, music, politics and brands. If we are honest we must admit that we don't know much either here about other countries that do not matter much in our lifes. Who is the current leader of the government in Denmark? Do they have a president there? I don't know. I just found out that Denmark doesn't have the Euro in the other thread about the petrol prices. But do you know whether we have a president in Switzerland and if so his name? Hell, even many swiss don't know his name although that's because he changes every year and it really doesn't matter who it is. Did you know that?

How about all the countries of Europe or at least all of the european union and their captials? The Capital of Slovenia? Slovakia? Which country has the most inhabitants among Indonesia, Nigeria, Argentinia, Australia and Germany?

Geography is of course very intresting but I think it doesn't matter much in most peoples lifes and one shouldn't point at others if they don't know some rather useless facts about a country that does not play a very remakeable role in the world.

I do follow what happens with the countrys in Europe, and try to keep up with other countrys..
But thats just because i like Geography and its interesting to me to keep myself up to date..
