I want to bump this, but I can't think of any controversial opinions..

I think the movie Kick Ass is just meh because the guy from Superbad is terrible.

I also like Keanu Reeves as an actor, because he's been in some good movies (and some not so good movies) which I've enjoyed.

It's hard to like Keanu Reeves...a lot of people give him the business.

....but, I fucking liked Speed and The Matrix. The world can suck it.

He was also in some other decent movies. Point Break and such.

Even Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is quite good for what it is.

And yeah, once you're in The Matrix, I pretty much stop hating on you forever.




Same thing with Tom Cruise. I think he's a despicable person, a colossal moron, and generally a really weird dude...but...

He's an excellent actor who is very very good at choosing his roles, and since that's all I care about when it comes to actors, I'm cool with taht.

I'm kinda looking forward to the upcoming Mission Impossible.

Also, his part in Tropic Thunder was one of the highlights of the movie.

the guy is absolutely worthless as an actor. have tried to like him for years but for the life of me i can't understand why anyone would cast him. he must work very, very cheap to get employment.

That's not a very controversial opinion.

He lacks range ("I AM AN EFF-BEEE-EYE AGENT!" ) , but he's managed to select a number of decent roles and is able to preform adequately in those movies. I really like Devil's Advocate (although Pacino really makes that movie - plus a naked Connie Neilsen and Charlize Theron didn't hurt either) and the Matrix Series, etc. so I disagree with your assessment ma'am.
