That's a nice device if you could actually hear a live show while walking around with it, instead of having it to be in the dock and have to record everything before you can listen to it in it's portable function. Unlike XM where they have had their portable unit out for morew then a year now and it you can listen to it live while in it's portable function, unlike sirius's protable model. AND XM's is $100 cheaper and it's an actual portable radio.

Man it's all about context all these guys do the same show in a lame manner. Trust me no one is out today buying XM radio for Opie and Anthony. If it wasn't for XM they wouldn't have a job. Rip off? It's about not being original have a thought an idea it all a regurgitation of Howard. Before they were kicked off regular radio were they doing morning drive? No Howard would have had their ass. At least Mancow went up against him one on one. Bottom line no class cheap talent that I'm sure XM got for a song. I bet If Howard called them up and said he'd put them on his station they'd be there in a minute. Or as soon as they got out of their contact. Face it man Howard rules and everyone else is drowning in his wake

Why call them rippoffs when you have no proof of them ripping Stern off.
They didn't do morning drive becasue they were always on in the afternoon and infinity would not let them leave for clear channel so they could go up against Howard. THey had plenty of offers after they were fired, Sirius wanted them, XM wanted them and so did Clear Channel. But they chose XM.

There is no way in hell they would ever work for Howard.

I just hate it when Stern fans call them rip offs without any proof of this. I was a Stern fan. Stern in the late 80's and most of the 90's was the greatest time in radio ever. but since his devoirce he has gone down hill. His time is over. 500 million for 5 years to do 4 shows a week and 12 weeks of vacation? Do you not feel ripped off by this since you know have to pay for it?

Morning drive is the proving ground. If they were soooooo good someone would have paid them, It's all about revenue, ads and $$$$ and they don't have it. Dude in 3 years you'll be like all the other bitches groveling at Howards feet and my stock will be through the roof. Think what you may no Howard Stern no Opie and Anthony. And what the fuck kind of name is Opie? Grow some balls or go to TV land with the Andy Griffith show

the only time i listen to a portable music device is when im at the gym. no clear view of the sky. which equals no satellite signal.
don't hate it cause it's beautiful.
being first doesn't mean it's best.

They were #1 in afternoon drive, which is right behind morning radio. As for not doing Morning radio Infinity did not want them competeing against Howard since they are from the same company. Both of Howard and O&A were making big bucks for them in their respected time slots because alot of Stern fans listened to O&A and vice versa.

No I didn't only get my radio for Howard I own a business and spend alot of time on the road so the format is ver appealing. And Howard will program both his channels with his type of humor. How many stations do O&A have control over? None! That's what I thought

but shouldn't a portable unit actually be portable in all it's functions? All they did was reinvent the tape recorder.
They MYFI does the same thing, but you can actually hear a live broadcast

Actually they control their station and will be controlling another one come 2006.

Lots of Stern's fans would listen to O&A and O&A fans would listen to Stern. THat is how they marketed it acrros the country. THey would market Stern in the morning, Don and Mike middays, O&A in afternoons and Lykis at night. Infinity would make talk stations all across the country under this format. THey all had the same type of fans, the 18-29 Demo.

You like Stern, which is fine and I like O&A, which is also fine. But remember the topic was Satelitte RAdio and having both the top radio shows on Satelite radio is a good thing for the buisiness in general.
