You know what's not nearly as gross as I thought it would be? Those Bud Light Lime-a-ritas. I know, I know, they sound disgusting but if you pour one over ice, it's like an easy crappy margarita. I wouldn't recommend drinking more than one or two though. They're super sugar-y.
Hrm...it seems my image resizer has left my avatar with a little black border. I'll have to fix that when I get a chance.
I didn't hate it. Then again, I drink pretty much anything besides Heineken or gin.
I drink beer, pretty much anything darker...
Davey made you do it? Who Davey Deals?

I went on a tequila "factory" tour while in Mexico, it was pretty cool. I use the quotes on factory because it wasn't a real factory, as to be called tequila, it has to be produced in a certain region in mexico....and I was not in that region. Basically it was a mock up of what a factory would look like, and a store to sell their goods. I got to sample a bunch of different tequilas, and surprisingly, I didn't mind the high end stuff....of course its around $45 a bottle. I also tried some different blended tequila creams, like chocolate, and coffee....they were both really tasty, and an almond tequila that was very similar to amaretto. I invented a tasty little beverage...at least I think I invented it. 1 Oz coconut rum, 1 Oz Almond tequila, 3 Oz OJ, 3 Oz Pineapple Juice, poured over ice. It was tasty and refreshing, all be it a little sweet.
I believe it has something to do with the percentage of agave the tequila is made with? I want to say anything less than 100% agave is called "mezcal"? Anywhoo. I love going on factory tours, especially if they give you freebies at the end. One of my good female friends had sworn off tequila since high school and would only drink it in a margarita. I let her sample a couple of the higher end ones and she changed her mind quick. I think too many of us have that one "Jose Cuervo" experience, usually from our youth, that really turns us off from tequila. The better brands are much smoother and easier to drink. You can get a decent bottle for around $40. Obviously, as quality goes up, so does price.
