Do the vampires stalk the night, hunting the other gender for fresh blood? Are the townsfolk absolutely horrified by the monstrosities? Do they regularly kill opposition? Or do they just brood and have drama?

This past season...yes to most of your questions. Although not all fear them. I think its an interesting concept introducing the idea that vampires want to main stream into society, and that they actually came out of the coffin...so to speak. There was very little brooding this season, but yes, drama of course.

I used to watch The Vampire Diaries, but it lost my interest. There was lots of pretty people in it, but way too much brooding.

Meh, I'll stick with Shiki.

How do you feel Hollywood is doing with zombies?

Just as bad as they have done to the others. The supposed World War Z movie looks awful. Zombidamacy.

Actually you would probably like Shiki.

I didn't particularly care for it at first, but it grew on me. I actually enjoyed the show enough to redownload the blu-ray encodes that came later last year.

I enjoyed Zombieland.

You would have to be a monster not to love Zombieland.

I thought the preview for World War Z looked pretty good, mind you don't see much of the actual zombies in the trailer. And Walking Dead seems to have (with the exception of the past couple episodes) gotten back on track.

I'm not much of a fan of anime, but I might check Shiki.

You see enough of it to know it will be bad.
