There's a sweet island in Sydney Harbour if you ever get the chance to visit worth a look it's free wandering gotta upload the pictures but the website gives you an idea. there's also the island next to it that's been made to replicate a navy ship to train officers way way back.

I did some of this when i was a kid but not as often as i wanted... usually it was too dangerous for a kid. drug dealers bums and crackheads.. not a great environment for a young chubby white boy.

I've been exploring construction sites and abandoned buildings for years.. it is really fun climbing multi-story buildings WITHOUT the use of ladders/stairs, as much as possible.

Definitely +1 to this thread.

Too bad there isn't any place within distance that's not 1+ hours away that's interesting here in vegas. On my next adventure out, I shall take some pictures if I remember to have the cam.

You do know that it's called death valley for a reason right? It gets to like 130+ degrees over there and it's about an hour or two drive out. But next time I pass some famous peoples gates, I'll take pictures of their gates. And pictures will come from my next adventure out.

The "Valley of Fire" is only 20-30 minutes from Vegas (not Death Valley)
I used to live in Vegas, I just never took pics

So I was starting to feel guilty of killing Teh Honda's urban thread w/my rural one so since it's not locked after all (took some lookin' tho' )

I've got a new one that fits.... this is in our town across the river from the mill pics I took !!!!

It's a float-fly for RC airplanes that happens every year (if you look across the river you can see the legs of the water tower that was cut down )

So if you have any "Urban exploration" pics please add them HERE !

If it's "rural" add them here.... http://whatboyswant.com/forum_read/4737487/1/10/Rural_Explorations.html

While looking through my pictures for cave pics I found this one.

Hot Off The Camera Today

I was on a sorta business trip today and found this old bridge next to the town of Tehama,Ca. (ok,it's only 15 miles from home)

This bridge turned to let steamships pass going to my home town in the late 1800's, I forgot it was even there, I don't drive that way much.

Here goes... (full span more or less)

The turning part.... mid river...

It was hand operated,(yes I checked it out )

This is on the way to actually getting on the bridge (trespass)

Down the rails....

Moving on....(notice the date on the beam)
