The week leading up to the storm was actually much wetter than the actual hurricane. No flooding though. If there's one thing they did well when they built south Florida it's the drainage. There's a few low lying areas that flood whenever it rains a boatload but for the most part, there's very little issues even during multiple deluges.

sigh....to have such problems as too much water........

When you live in a tropical swamp, you tend to get too much water.
