I was never really a fan of the show, but I guess it's just a matter of taste.

I tried to watch it a few times out of curiosity but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I was hoping to maybe see some local spots but i quickly realized there was nothing "miami" in CSI Miami.

That's too bad. I've always found Miami to be an exciting, interesting and beautiful place.

Like any metro area it's got good and bad spots. Everybody loves South Beach, Midtown, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Brickel but nobody wants to be in Liberty City, Overtown, Little Haiti or Miami Gardens (unless you're at Sun Life Stadium).

Nobody told me the moratorium on member interaction had been lifted.

I'm trying to revive the lounge a little bit. I mentioned pregnancy and F1098 showed up. I think I'm going to insult lesbians and see if Sugar Pie will come back to yell at me.

Sure.

Don't be silly. I don't know exactly why she left, but it may have been something to do with getting involved in debate with complete fools and suffering the predictable consequences of doing that. Pick your fights wisely or just eat popcorn, I say.

That's my take on it anyway. But lest you get too smug and too self confident about Sugarpie, and what might sucker her back here, remember this.....That woman put more pure effort into this place to make it friendly and fun and comfortable to hang out at, than anyone I can think of. She really put her heart into it.

Not me, not you Davey, and not anyone else. It was Sugar, like her or not.

Kanzen please.

Also, F1098, that precisely the problem with SP : too much heart, not enough reasoning and that's why she had issue in a lot of discussions where she was objectively wrong but couldn't admit it. So I'm not sure everyone saw her as the most friendly member on the site.
I remember Honda bringing way more without the negative counterpart, for example.
(And let's not remember some mods in the crew who, even though they are pretty silent, contributed a lot to the good state of the site).

We may differ on that Omuh. Honda was great for a provocative diatribe that seemed to only resonate with EL and Bangles. I found SP's contributions to be more consistent and of a broader appeal that the mad Honda. Sp was always trying In ways that you haven't mentioned. She was the user friendly one. Others like EL were gentlemen in helping me fend off the leg humpers and such, but SP's energy always kept things in the Lounge moving. Others still, like yourself were/are good managers and the voice of reason, but that is small beer compared to the kind of personal energy that she had and shared here.

Just tell me now that this place is more interesting/entertaining without her. Sheesh !

What are you talking about? Diatribe? Like ninety-five percent of his posts were silly, humorous, and positive overall. Sure there were a lot of inside jokes mixed in there, but he had a far broader spectrum of interaction with a larger group of people. Hell, he had contests and shit going for a while. Plus like he had 40 some spoof accounts to go around and mix things up with.

Consistent in what? Trying to draw in debate in which when things didn't go her way, she immediately became angry, came to name calling, and equated every argument regardless of topic as rape? Then when getting a chance, always inserting some political agenda into her posts? Towards the end she was going full-tilt SJW on us, which is a shame because at the beginning she seemed to be more willing to accept other people's opinions.

And what do you mean, Mad Honda? Again, like ninety-five percent of his posts were positive. Even when they weren't they were ribbings at most.

Trying what? Her time in Crew was usually filled with creating drama of people not agreeing with her so they were obviously wrong about everything ever. Every girl in the queue was suddenly underage regardless of their physical appearance. Or trying to instate rules without approval of other Crew.

Only towards you and a handful of other girls. Otherwise if you disagreed with her, you were scum of the Earth. Or if there was a debate and the evidence and citations refuted her stance, she would immediately tell people to "fuck off" and then delete vital posts to scrub away interactions. I mean, SP and I, were usually on pretty good terms, unless I disagreed with her, then I became the Hitler of rapists. Then the next time she would directly contact me was for help on something or other.

I think the mass exodus of members before hand had a bigger effect, I think the introduction of the The Panel was what snuffed out WBW's activity. When you learn of people having different opinions on things, people tend to become colder and distant from each other unless it is an insane hugbox.

Kanzen-

Partial agreement on some of your points, dead wrong on others in my opinion. ( Can't really relate to your comments on Honda as I'm pretty sure his best days were behind him when I joined WBW) But your closing thoughts....last sentence actually.....that rings true to me for sure.

All of that said, don't you find it terribly ironic that my point of SP's energy really driving the Lounge is happening right here right now, by many commenting on her and after weeks of stagnation ? More than ironic, it proves my point.

Controversy drives discussion on forums. Let's face it, people like to argue. Unfortunately, when too many discussions become arguments, the appeal of an online forum gets old. I will agree with Kanzen in that the Panel forum did more harm than good. Two things you can never win an argument on are politics and religion. Personal political opinions really burned quite a few members. While I rarely take forum jibberish personally, others do. And when people's feelings get hurt, they tend to "take their ball and go home". That's not an attack on any member in particular but it seems like it became a common theme as many prior contributors have stopped visiting this site. As for SP vs Honda, I enjoyed both of their contributions. SP could occasionally be utterly unagreeable but for the most part I liked her and thought she had a good sense of humor. Honda, on the other hand probably drove me to participate in the forums more than anyone. His comical threads often featured contests and/or outrageous stories that i, more often than not, laughed out loud to.

So your scope of this is considerably smaller, which means that you are unaware of the actual decline in member activity. That is a bad stance to take, "I don't know if that is true or not, but you're wrong. Derp."

I called it before The Panel was even a thing, the intentions were good enough, but I knew the immediate fallout would drive people away. WBW was running pretty smoothly when we didn't allow politics and religion into the discussion, suddenly everyone becomes ideologues that must broadcast their infinite and unerring truths upon the unwashed mass of idiots.

Maybe, that was all part of Omuh's plan all along.

Not really, people were posting in this thread after it started reviving. All your post did was prove Cunningham's Law is in fact a real phenomena.

Well he was [maybe?] getting engaged, and you know that's what expected after the nuptials.
