So far this year, after losing about a third of my receipts, I've spent $2393.29 on playing Soldier.

With as much in taxes, FICA, retirement and shit as I pay, that's like 2 months net for me.

This game sucks, I need to try out Doctor or Playboy Billionaire. Those sound like better games.

Gonna create an Amazon Wishlist of just Amazon Giftcards.

I'm not sure yet, to be honest. If we kick off a war with somewhere, then I'll re-up and waive my dwell time to deploy. I don't like being in Garrison. (In fact, I quite loathe it.)

As for going to school:
Before I joined, I was in college. But, my recruiter screwed me and put me in too early, so I couldn't graduate in time to keep my original contract as an Officer Candidate. And because I'm an idealist and a patriot, I dropped out of college and took up an enlisted contract in the Infantry, instead of remaining in school. (I have 3-5 classes left to finish my degree in Russian, with an extra year or two to complete my majors in Economics and Classics.)

My plan, is to pursue a new degree in the medical field. Whether or not that's in the Army remains to be seen with what they can offer me.

I'm going to start looking into becoming a Warrant Officer (I've got support from leadership for that), becoming a Commissioned Officer through Green to Gold, or switching to the enlisted side of medical and spend a few years chilling chilling at a hospital and going to school. Or, getting out, going back to school and going through ROTC. It all depends on what they can offer and what I'm feeling.

Or, I might just flat get out and go work at the Post Office or work on becoming an analyst/agent for one of the alphabets.
...Or, I'll go be a bum somewhere.

Who knows.

Lots of options, and an open mind. Sounds like a recipe for success, no matter what way you go.

I don't know man, like 80% of those options involve working for the gubmint, and we know how you don't like that one bit!

Teehee. *intrigued*

But, pfft... and you'll stay hetero () cause I was originally (way back when, lol) accepted into the School of Engineering.
Where my friends, whose paths I would have similarly taken (had some classes not been full--I was a really late applicant--and I decided to not wait a semester to pursue engineering. Cause fuck it, what's the worst that could happen from dropping out of Engineering and switching to Liberal Arts ) cause, fuck it, why not, all resulted in jobs working under a smelly ass Skunk mascot and presently the middle of nowhere in nowhere Nevada.

...sometimes, I wonder what would have happened if Bangles had decided to go the smart people route, instead of become a trigger puller.

...shit, I'd certainly be drinking less. This is looking to get expensive, again.

I should include "work related drinking" into my expenditure calculations for the year. There's another like 5,000 right there.

(Eh, apparently only $2376 on the high side, estimated, for the past 9 months.)

But, that's pretty mild for an Infantryman.
