Perhaps...but maybe a few teams would have financial trouble...like some of the southern US teams. It wouldn't bother me one bit if a couple teams got into serious financial trouble, just to show these jerks that they aren't invincible. As for watching hockey, I was happy for the junior teams...they were getting record crowds...now thats gone.

Canucks just sold out their 400-something straight home game.. That's 11 years, NHL record. I agree I wouldn't mind them taking some sort of hit but I don't think another season off would be enough to do it, the team might need to move or something but the owners would still sell their shares for hundreds of millions and be alright even if they weren't owners anymore.

Thats another thing that pissed me off. They kept the poor people who work at the stadium in limbo. When they would cancel a month at a time, they kept these people's hope up that they would have a job in October or November, or December. And around here 1/2 the jersey stores (not jersey shores) are owned by the team anyway. Then the league has the nerve to tell the teams to put all their merch on sale by like 50% this week. Its a cheep ploy to try and buy back fans. Jerks...all of them.
