I started the "Top 5 things I love about..." thread, so I need to restore some balance.

I just got back from the store. I was driving out and I got to the crosswalk where pedestrians are supposed to cross. There were a few people about 5 yards from entering the crosswalk, but being in a good mood I stopped to let them go. And how do they repay my generosity?

They stop in the fuckin' middle of the fuckin' crosswalk and have a fuckin' conversation

I mean, what the fuck were these assholes thinking? I was being a nice guy!

That's what pisses me off more than anything. You go and do something nice for people, and they fuckin' rub your god damn nose in it.

After about 10 seconds of this bullshit I lay on the horn. And they look at me like I'm an asshole (well, OK, got me there).

SNL skits suck. God some of those are awful. How in the hell did it seem like a good idea to air those?

And another thing that pisses me off...

Parents...

Hold your kid's hand when you're walking in a parking lot, and put yourself between them and the cars!

I'm talking about kids under the age of about 10. This should be basic information, but no. Whenever I drive in a parking lot with kids around, there's always one kid wandering around without any guidance from his mom or dad. I'm not blaming the kid, he's just being a kid. But the parents should know better. Hell, I still put myself between my daughters and the traffic, and they're both teens now.

Whenever I see a kid walking around like this I just stop driving, block traffic, and let them get to their car or the store. Yeah, the guy behind me thinks I'm an asshole, but if I don't care if you think I'm an asshole at the ballgame, I'm sure as hell not going to care if you think I'm an asshole just because I'm blocking traffic so a kid gets to the car safely.

No, a lot of the old stuff is good. I just said that I hate it when SNL skits suck...like they did saturday night when I wrote that.

The best SNL skit ever was the one with Richard Pryor and Dan Akroyd where Pryor was applying for a job and Akroyd was the racist guy interviewing him.
