How can i tell him to keep it to himself? He's free to post whatever he wants on his own FB page.

It's not a huge deal, i really hardly ever post anything other than pictures.... or tagging locations... etc. Really annoying to read sometimes, though.

Just hide his posts from your newsfeed.
The upper right of each (of his) posts gives you options to change preferences. You can change it so his posts aren't displayed.

Yeah, that.

I'm sure I have some family members that hide and/or ignore my facebook posts that most certainly come straight from Satan.

So i have a facebook page, but really only use it to connect to some family, people from the pool hall (league, etc), and for the most part just friends from high school.

I've got this friend who has become extremely religious. I have to see his posts all the time, i'm talking about probably.... one every 2 hours. He continually posts articles trying to "scientifically prove" that the earth is no more than 6,000 years old, just for example.

Sometimes i scroll through and it's everything i can do not to reply. I'm thinking of un-friending him, but then i'll be the douche.. right?

Do you actually talk to this person...or are they an acquaintance from high school, who you didn't stay in contact with, but because of Facebook, you are now friends again?

I say dump him like yesterdays trash if thats the case. If he's really a friend outside of Facebook, then I'd have a little private chat and just say that you don't share the same beliefs as him, so the constant messages aren't really cool.

@ Bang/Davey - Yeah i considered that too, I guess I'll do that. People change so much as they get older sometimes... he was not like that at ALL when he was in high school.

Some people seem to feel like FB is the best place to spread "the good word" but i just find it to be ridiculous when it's so overdone.

@ F - Oh yeah, that wouldn't be happening.

I have family members whose posts I block on facebook. They're really terrible.

Also, the best way I've found to not be bothered with stupidity on there is to not log on for months at a time.

Yeah we actually do talk and we've seen each other from time to time, he was a close friend from high school.

But then how are you going to see pictures of a meal someone is about to eat that they just posted?

Or not have one.

Got rid of mine years ago, before you had the option to hide certain things from showing up in your feed, and when their security was sketchy at best.

The people that I want to stay in contact with, I do. The people that just added me because for some reason it turns their crank to have as many "friends" as possible...I don't.

Thats trickier then. If you think he'd be ok with a little non confrontational suggestion, then I'd talk to him about it. If not...just ignore his ass like Bangles said.

I'm the same way. I had someone tell me once that they noticed i didn't have "that many" facebook friends. It's like uhhh yeah... and i actually am friends or family with all of them, you haven't even met most of yours.

So Honda did quite possibly the worst live-blog of a threesome in history yesterday.

I bet they slipped something into his drink and took his wallet.
