My problem is gaining weight since you know...skinny people...don't exist anymore. I have seen health books that don't even mention gaining weight in even a single paragraph.

and before you tell me to eat eat eat, would you tell a fat person to stop eating? it's not that easy. My job is physical enough I do eat yet I'm still 5'8" 135lbs.

So if anyone has any idea on weight gainers, protein powder pros/cons etc, I'm up for it.

Also, how long does it take normal people to lose weight?

Since...I've been trolling around under 2000 calories for a few days now (five small meals), which I'll keep up to the end of the week, then start working out and eating tons of chicken and fish. The thing is, I lose weight fucking rapidly.

Stop weighing yourselves. Look in the mirror and judge your results by how you look and how your clothes fit. Going by weight is just terrible. Would you be happier if you looked like shit and weighed less or if you weighed more and looked good?

You just said yourself you look sickly but have lost 10 pounds, Honda see what dieting gets you? Under nourished, weak....and sickly. On the plus side if you get skinny and sickly enough you may get a modeling contract from CK or somethin.

That looks exactly like a jail lunch except in jail they would also give you a small carton of 1% juice (which tastes like tainted water) and an orange or an apple. So bad news, bro, people in jail are eating better than you.

You guys have inspired me so for lunch today I'm gonna have a big fat beautiful greasy cheesesteak with some deliciously unhealthy deep fried onion rings. I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of it and think of all you dieting people while I'm eating it which will make me enjoy it that much more. This one meal will probably have more calories then Honda will eat in the next 3 days.

Pretty sure I said until the end of the week brah. I like to get rid of any excess fat before I start hitting the gym, and since I do it pretty hard core I eat as much chicken and fish as I like..

Don't you find it hard to work out when you're so under nourished at first though? I know if I ate like you and EL are I'd probably have to reduce weight and/or reps signifigantly in order to even get through a workout. Either that or after I worked out I'd feel all sick and drained.

@dyhart: Just go to any vitamin/supplement store and ask. All the weight gain powders work. Just make absolutely sure you are working out HARD while taking them or all that will happen is your stomach will get fat while the rest of you stays bone skinny and you'll look pregnant. Steroids actually work best for improving body mass on naturally skinny people but ya know steroids are all not PC right now. I've never used them cause I'm naturally not a skinny person but I've known a lot of skinny people who have.

I have a buddy with the same issues. He's 6'3" about 170 lbs but has a hard time maintaining that weight, let alone gaining. You will really have to up your caloric intake. I know alot of skinny people eat but don't gain but it's the only way. Protein and weight gain powders form your local nutrition shop would be your best bet. Don't take steroids. Skinny guys who take roids get big fast but get small even faster after the cycle. So, unless you want to seriously risk your health by constantly taking steroids, just grab some high-cal, high protein shake mixes and add them to your regular diet. Also lift as much as you can when you do strength training. Don't get caught up in doing ten reps of every excercise. Use enough weight that you can do 4-6 reps. That's how to gain bulk.

Yeah, the day before I go nuts with chicken, fish..sometimes salad. I'm usually pretty good after that, then I eat a lot, but still healthy.

Plus, when you're eating properly, and working out regular you feel a lot better. In my experience anyway.

Sometimes I take protein power as well, but only once I'm pretty into it.

Protein powder shakes one a day after exercise and one or two cycles of creatine. Do really not touch steroids unless you want your balls look like this:

I would suggest some high whey protein shake in combination with a lot of red meat and things with lots of carbohydrates inside... (rice, spaghetti and so...) if you would like to gain weight.

I laugh at all the "dont take steroids" stuff in here. Only cause all the male models and the vast majority of dudes on magazines that you all wish you looked like got that way through steroids not eating right and protein powder and all this other hippy stuff. Even your athlete heroes, most of them at one point or another have been on steroids all the while fucking more hot girls and accomplishing more goals then you all ever will in your entire lives.

I don't take em personally but that's cause I'm not naturally scrawny and I build muscle pretty easily. If I was a scrawny little dude I'd absolutely be using steroids and as far as nut shrinkage goes... Who gives a shit? When's the last time you heard a girl say "oh I love his massive nuts" or "he sucks in bed his nuts are too small"? You haven't because nobody gives a shit about the size of nuts. For girls it's all about the arms, chest and dick. Steroids can give you 2 out of 3 with less effort and that's pretty fuckin good. Nobody can fix your tiny dick, blame that one on your dad's crappy genes.

@Honda: How's the workin out goin Honda? You still on the Kate Moss diet plan?

I actually prefer elliptical machines to running, as they're easier to adjust the resistance than just plain running. Although, the downside is that you can run anywhere, but you have to go to a specific place to be on an elliptical machine.

And as for the lunch, chicken/turkey cold cuts are like my main food group right now. Often without any bread - it's like a snack - because bread is just glorified cake in most instances. If you go with the 12 grain bread or whatever it's a bit better, but it's still just empty calories. I eat fruit for breakfast pretty much every day, so I didn't need the jailhouse lunch - plus I don't drink watered down tang.

And to the dumbasses who say, "a man looks like a man, only manlier and fatter" or something, well, sure, and a heart-attack while not getting laid and sweating while standing still is all manly too, according to your definition, but that's just Orwellian newspeak for "I'm fat and too lazy to do anything about it."

Real men have looked pretty ripped for years.
