Its very long (1:19) and it compares European cars to American cars.

But its funny and its presented by Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear Fame).

Does Jeremy Clarkson ever discuss what happened to the British auto makers?

That would be funny ...

Hammy was on Jonathan Ross last night (sounds bad, but it's a TV show) so nice to see him alive and well. Now HE could loosen my wheelnuts ANYTIME!

Now, being a bit more serious - American cars aren't very good, patriotism aside. Cars made in the UK are so - so... anyone remember 'British Leyland' and the crap they churned out? British made cars nowadays are of a very high standard, but it's more a question of economics as to why we have only a couple of car makers left now, rather than quality and skill.

Oh, and my last car was a Ford Escort Mk 2 :P

i didnt just say British car makers, it was European cars!

We did churn out some crap admittedly, but the British buying public will not stand for it now as there are so many other good manufacturers out there to choose from!

True, hadnt thought of that!

So maybe the American public should sit up and tell them that the crap you sell to us is unacceptable and we want cars like you sell in Europe!

Hate to tell ya Jon but I've already seen some of the "crap" that comes from across the pond. It seems that Ford and Chrysler have already begun to show us the quality "European Imports" from overseas! I'll not argue your point since the 1980's. But it seems EVERYONE is out to make the quick green.

I've got an easier way to settle all this nonsense.

Since the beginning of time nobody has ever been able to please everyone, so if you don't like it don't buy it

Hmmmm... Like Daewoo cars are being sold as Chevrolet in Europe. Great example how american cars make our lives better.

But the big European car companies like Opel have developed lots of parts to modern american cars. It lives in a nice harmony.
