A Message to All Civic Owners

What happened to american muscle cars? I'll tell you what happened. I have a '67 thunderbird with a 7.0L 428ci that pushes 345hp stock. I also have an '03 civic that has a 1.7L that is 117hp stock. The honda will kick it's ass every time because the thunderbird is about 2000lbs heavier, 40 years older and it would be out of gas before the race was over... all 22 gallons of it. And to whoever said to mod the engine first, it might be a better idea to take care of the brakes and suspention before the engine so that the car can actually handle the added power. No sense in going 180mph if you can't slow it down or turn it.

I have an '06 Civic EX coupe, I love the car, and imo its the best civic year to date. I haven't modified it at all yet, when I do it will be engine first, and NO tin can noise...There is nothing I hate more than the (stupid farting want to be noisier, but makes the owner look like a tard) sound that some people MUST have for thier cars. This car is 1.7L 140hp stock and can take off pretty quick, but needless to say, i realize what it is, and i don't race it. (I have experienced raw american muscle first hand, and it is quite humbling). My point is, civics are great cars, unfortunately, they just attract a rather unfortunate crowd at times. Don't let some shitty owners give the rest of us a bad rep.

I also agree with the point about doing brakes and suspension first. I have dropped over 1k into my suspesion alone. Love the ride. Able to handle curves, bends, cambers like a dream. Still have yet to put on my x-drill/slotted brakes. Still sitting in the garage.

If you have a new Honda Civic, you are packing 1.7 litres of engine. I have 2.0 litres. My car is not much heavier than yours, so I will beat you every time. to say all imports are rice i think u are gay cus what ever u have im sure my 240sx will beat in any type of race if u wanna know my mods all u have to do is as but i will just say im on the ka24de engin with a turbo

Thx, I wish it was mine. A friend of mine has a very wealthy Step-Father. This guy is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's letting me take his Carrera GT for the weekend for no reason at all. I went and test drove it yesterday to make sure I didn't ejaculate as soon as I sat in it. This guy owns 2 Ford GT40's with another on the way, an M5, that Porche, and has plans for a Mercielago, and possibly a McClaren F-1. He has a little cash to throw around to say the least. I'll post the pics of my test drive soon....not that any of you really want to see them, but I have to brag somehow!

OK, so I read through this entire post, and first I am a big fan of American Muscle cars. Look way better than the imports can ever hope to look. My question is simple, why put thousands of dollars into modding a car when you arent going to really race it. Its easy to talk about how fast your cars is, how big your engine is, how big your dick is etc, but no one is really racing. Just to point out in the US most citys have local race tracks that allow you to, for a small fee, run the track in a non race but opened up run. So I guess now that I have said my piece, I'll go drive my tired old pick up track.

Now you pissed the honda people. You should know that these people can't see any other brands out there. I know few honda fanatics, for them turbos and V6's are for pussys. The only horses comes from the 1,6 - 2,0 liter 9000rpm engines. Yeah right.

I have nothing against a well built tuner car, be it honda, hyundai, or whatever you want to tune, but I am with the people who like american muscle. I will take my 4000 pound 1985 Chevy truck with a 300 h.p. 350 cu. in., yes it is and outdated design, bummer, with 3.73 rearend gears and put it up against any "wannabe" tuner (coffee can exhaust, stickers, ground effects, neon lights) and I will clean your clock, no questions asked. The real tuner cars can get me not because they have more horsepower than I do, but it is because the weigh about a tenth of what my beast weighs. It is a little thing called horsepower to weight ratio. I just laugh when i see a "tuner" car pull up next to me and rev his stock 130 hp engine with the stereo so loud that it feels like it is in my truck (and guess what, to all yous guys that have cars like that, stock motor with tons of stereo equipment, all that stereo equipment adds weight which lowers your horsepower to weight ratio) that most of the time I just let them go because I know it is going to be a waste of gas for a meaningless race. So to all the true racers out there, I mean you no disrepect, and you know who you are if you are a true racer, but most of the cars on the street are just wannabes.

this car eats civics for breakfast.. not much mods but much better than any body kits ull put on it..
2005 v6 tiburon, 6 speed , performance cai, *only show accecorie 17inch lightweight rims* no back seat sparco racing front seats ignition system, straight exhaust pipe no silencers borla mufflers.. a turbonator *b-day gift* and he might b investing ina s-p since a turbo is too tuff for the v-6's weak internals. this is not my car but my bests frnd car in saudia who i visit evey summer and we go racing all the time.
