OK, back. For those new to the topic, I suggest you read it through, then vote for our next move.
C. Descend into the hole.
You drag your exhausted body toward the dark hole. Your torch is the only light. The fire burning the only sound. Each step you take echos slightly against the cave walls. Nearing the rope leading down the dark shaft. You pause, and think, and wonder…you shiver. It’s become cold. VERY cold. With every inch (millimeter) you worked closer to the hole…the air has become frigid. Frost is streaming from your mouth, as you pant harder…Leaning down, trying to peer into the chasm with your torch, a cold breeze is streaming from the depths…your torch flickers…Nothing is visible, just the dark, cold below. You reach for a flare, barely with strength enough to ignite it, and toss it amelessy into the, watching it fall further and further, deeper and deeper, until its completely out of sight, and hearing nothing. Not a sound but your beating heart and short, cold rapid breaths.
Deciding you must move, you check the rope. Its tied securely enough you suspect, grab on, and lower yourself down into the hole. Leaving your torch behind, hand over hand, legs tangled below, you descend the abyss. Dark. Cold. Alone.
With what seemed like hours, you finally see light below, and…voices! Feeling revitalized, (Mission Impossible Music->
you flip upside down, Tom Cruise style…and lower yourself just enough to peer into this new chamber…and feast your eyes on the GOLD filled room below! The voices are faint...coast it clear! You drop!
There are 3 exits to the chamber. Voices can be heard in the north chamber, and they sound angry. The west chamber is pitch black with rats and snakes on the floor. The east chamber is well lit with torches along the wall.
Do we:
A. Hide. Rest. Wait.
B. Go North
C. Go East
D. Go West
