Just as a hobby. Couldn't make ends meet when I tried years ago and I enjoy it more when I don't have to earn a living from it. Also I only ask friends to model for me as that avoids most of the awkwardness, though generally I don't do nudes for the most part unless one of my stupid ideas calls for it. Fortunately I know a load of artist types so they love to show off. But I've had my own share of crap experiences while behind the lens too, it's not just all you pretty girls that get the creepy come-ons.

And being a pro photographer doesn't make them any less sleazy. An ex of mine used to work (as a secretary/assistant) for one in London back when we lived there. Urgh. Though the girls themselves pretty much all screwed him, I've no idea why since he was teh ugliest little spud you've ever seen. I suppose they thought it might help their careers or he had a gun to their heads or something. Creeps me out to this day.

Yeah, while some guys/gals have home studios, I'd wager the bulk of them have their sofa, a tidy bedroom and intentions. If anybody ever tries to pass themselves off as professional they'll have good references, a portfolio of work to show you, a well made contact card and very likely their own studio or at least send you to one they've hired. Unless they are a well known/respected pro, never go off to their home, hotel room, or outdoor/remote location alone with them.

I think the shot of you on ur knees on the bed is amazing, but in all honesty, your face in the picture would make it 100 times better!

uh yea. well if the girls wanted to screw the guy to get a head thats on them. for me, one ended up giving me a drink to "relax" and feel "less tense" but probably put something in because i was pretty much passed out by the end and..well... he got what he wanted. and it was for a start up jeans company shoot but i think he had other intentions right away...made me take my shirt off halfway through because he said he is only shooting the my hips and tummy for the jeans ad and it was in the way or something. another one different crap but either way ...ehhhh.

photos came out nice though. lol.

yea crazy late. i just came back from a trip to california though...and my time is all off! i need to get it straight!!
