Ok WBW fellers and ladies, this has undoubtedly been done before but I did a quick nooblike search and didn't see anything directly on point and I am not much one for original thoughts and such. So, it's Saturday! You are going out to party with your best buds, lady friends, or Honda style just wildin' out by yourself (possibly in the basement)...

Hopefully, NOT like that, but I think you get the idea. I am just wondering what is everyone's favorite "go-to" beverage?

Ok, getting warmer guys and gals. I was actually thinking a little more like...

or if you are like Fefe maybe...

Just to be clear, I am not personally one to discriminate against teatotalers (especially an attractive bunch like this)...

and/or bizzare non-alcoholic beverages...

To each his/her own. But I figure there should be some decent fun to be had and perhaps it will be slightly educational and/or may encourage some of the more timid or set in stone sort of type folks to try something new... after all what's the worst that could happen?

So, what is your favorite "go-to" beverage?

I will start out. Boubon is like "mother's milk" to me. Was raised on it. I shit you not, when I say that up until a few years ago, I used to get birthday cards from the Jack Daniels distillery. Anyway, after sampling about every type of bourbon out there, if you can find it, my favorite is Pappy Van Winkle 23.

For serious, bro's and ho's alike; that stuff is the cat's pajamas.

When this is in season, it's some of the best beer you can find!

I always stock up, though I can never make it through the winter without running out haha

Yuengling, black and tan...

I used to drink nothing but bud light, but comparatively speaking, bud tastes like water compared to the black and tan.

@badfish - that sounds excellent. Just set a reminder to check in August to see if it is available around me.

@demo - I love a well made half and half with Guinness and Harp. Sad to say I haven't tried the Yuengling variety. I just always thought it wouldn't work to premix the two types of beer, but that is probably wrong.

I figured we might get A LOT of different beers in responses. One of my favorite places in the world, Monk's Cafe serves Delirium Tremens on tap. It is the nectar of the Gods IMO. BTW, yes - the name is Latin for "trembling madness", commonly nicknamed "the DTs" or in my old neighborhood "the Irish jig" , indicating a violent sickness induced by withdrawal after alcohol abuse... sometimes irony works

@tk - I do love me some good scotch. I seem to be drawn to Oban myself, but that Glenfiddich 18 is might nice. Beck's has never been in my wheelhouse. The first few seem to go down like a bag of hammers. Maybe I just need to drink through it...

I prefer wine. I'm not brand particular but avoid Ripple, Thunderbird and MD 20/20

A friend introduced me to half and half Guinness Stout and Bass Ale like it but I'm not much of a beer drinker.I do drink Amstel when I do

All depends on where I am and the mood, but Martinis have always worked for me. I love Capt'n Morgan just so the GF and I can get silly and watch pirate movies ( of which there are dozens and dozens).

Favorite "in the sun" drink is Campari and soda. Beer is anything but that filth called Bud or Miller or Corona ( marketed to people with no self respect).

Love great old tequilas, scotch, calvados and cognac in the evening.

@ webbie - your extremely high wine standards will most certainly put off many a fine WBW'er. Also, not to dicker but I believe Guinness and Bass is a classic Black & Tan, Guinness and Harp is a Half and Half.

@f1098 - ugh, I tried hard to embrace Campari when I was in Italy. I just couldn't do it. Should have tried cutting it with soda. Or maybe you just have a more worldly palate than I...

Lol
I should just said half a glass of stout mixed with a half a glass of ale.
Not the classic Half and Half you mention.
I really don't have a vast knowledge of brewskis.

Hey TK I like Becks too

Nah, I like St Pauli Girl and the beer isn't bad either

Bundy Red, preferably 100 proof with coke and ice or sometimes with lemonade, sugar syrup, lime and mint for a mojito. There is some shit I steer clear of but most beers are pretty good at the right temp (icy cold), a few nights ago I was drinking coronas and they were alright.

Half and half is good.

Campari - I love the taste of bitter. Fernet Branca ? Mmmmm. It tastes like a cup full of garden soil with alcohol added !

But Campari with soda and lemon or orange slice is very refreshing. A grown up soda pop.

I don't like beer so I often go for cocktails. Anything with vodka, gin, soho or curacao will do
