Soccer In America

Do any of you Americans watch Soccer ?

my wife loves soccer...soccer is incredibly popular with women
it is the most popular sport played by females through the school years
soccer won't ever take over baseball or american football, but it is slowly gaining popularity...

Wont ever take over ? You mean in the states right..
Cause Baseball and "football" as YOU call it... Dosnt really appear here in Europe..

Has to turn argumentive...considering you started a topic about soccer in America, yes he clearly means soccer will never take over baseball or football...and for that matter it won't take over hockey, basketball, nascar, or golf either

Golf ?? That's not even a sport .. Perhaps if they kicked to the ball, and ran between the holes it could qualify as a sport

ive never seen them....

it seems all american sports blow chunks these days so i dont watch any of them unless i have to

and when i do its only to laugh

i like soccer... the more hispanic people here, the more soccer will grow... all the hispanic people i know love it. So i get to play it any time i hang out with them.

They performed fairly in the last world cup .. But I haven't seen them since So I guess not ..

Next to Hockey I watch Soccer, Rally Racing, and Formula 1

So soccer is on the way

there isnt enough fighting in soccer for americans....

hmmm .. In both Hockey and American football the player might have more contact, but they're wrapped up like the Michelin man, so they don't get hurt as much as they should ..

If you really want to play football with your hands, you should start playing Australian football .. They're quite insane ..

I think it depends on where you are here in the states as to it popularity.. my brother played for the us national team for 4 years...so its been big in our family
