In this pic, I was trying to capture the freezing rain starting to collect on the pines. You can see a couple hundred feet up, in the background that the trees are almost solid white. Sort of series here, but even the tops of the pines along the stream are starting to show ice.

I love the one with the horses! Wish I could say that was my place.

Thank you. One of my faves also. The guys I was with thought I'd lost my mind when I pulled over and started snapping off a dozen or so pics.

You can find them at the pushpin in mid-late october, near Ohio City, CO

Notech,

I honestly have no idea, but if I'm casting a rapala on the beach, I'm probably chasing schools of Bluefish that surf the waves. But pompano, redfish, flounder, ladyfish, blacktip shark, sand trout, any host of beach fish and even the rare summer tarpon are possible. A Powerbait tipped jig is best for flounder and anything else seems to be best chased with live shrimp or sand fleas. So I'll stick with the bluefish answer.

Blues are a fun fish on light tackle. The good fight often attracks something looking for an easy meal, as seen by the shark bite below. Every once in a while a much bigger one takes it all. It's a little unnerving being 50 yards off shore on a sandbar, and having a big bull shark take a fish off your line.
