This thread is making me laugh so hard. How misinformed many of you are.
1. PS3's price of the console ($500-$600) upon the fact that game producers say that a game will cost from $70-80.
2. PS3 has the smallest amount of exclusive titles, of which almost all of them are first party (from developers bought by Sony)
3. PS3's CELL CPU and Blu-Ray drives have not been meeting production demands.
4. PS3 has the smallest selection of launch titles since the N64.
5. PS3's BR-ROM is slower than the drives in the Xbox360 and the Wii, resulting in huge load times.
6. For the price of a PS3 you can buy a Xbox360 ($300) and a Nintendo Wii ($250) and have a larger library for the next year or two.
7. PS3 will go through several incarnations making selective games incompatible. Like the first generation of the PS2 that didn't support a HD, then the second generation that did, and then the PStwo which doesn't support a HD.
8. PS3 has lost most of their so called exclusives because developers have realized PS3 development is too costly. Unreal 2007, Assassin's Creed, and others are now multi-platform.
9. EA has significanly reduced PS3 developement in favor of Xbox360 and Wii.
10. Atari and SNK are holding off on making games for the PS3 until 2007 and 2009.
11. Ubisoft stated that they will be concentrating game development on the Xbox360 and Wii with the PS3 on the back burner.
12. Developers are not keen on the difficulty of PS3 development and often complain about lack of support. The high cost of PS3 development, the low install base, and the problems with bluray all lead to one problem: the PS3 may have a small library of games.
13. Sony's crew is obviously out of touch with reality as shown by their comments.

Go for an Xbox360 if you want to play games now. I couldn't be happier with my Xbox360 and when November 18th comes along, I'll be outside in line for the Wii.
