Notre Dame needs to join a conference for credibility?? Give me a f'ing break. First of all they (along with Michigan) lead college football with the most wins in history...not to mention the 11 national titles and 7 heisman winners....all that brings credibility. You say GT should have beat us like that is a disgrace....what do they have 1 other loss other than ND and are ranked in the top 15? Not to mention, ND played them on the road and it was the the first game of the season. At least ND played someone to start the season while Ohio St opened with Northern Illinois. Michigan with Vanderbilt, and Florida with Southern Miss.

Must agree there, no disgrace in losing to GT, the only thing they are lacking in is focus. Good ball team

yea talk shit about ohio state. who beat the same michigan team that treated you like its prison bitch. not to mention that whole fiesta bowl game from last season when ohio state showed you that you also need to play defense to win games. its just too bad that there is no hope of ND making it to the national championship so you could see how much better they are than ND. and as for playing weak teams, are army or navy any good? i mean yea they were in the early 20th century.

Apparently you can't read. I never said anything about OSU not being good. I was blasting the guy who made a big deal about ND having a tough game with Georgia Tech to open the season. I pointed out that Georgia Tech is a quality team and playing them on the road to open the season was a tougher task than some of the other power teams like OSU, UM,Fla, and Texas. Yeah ND lost to Michigan after playing back to back tough opponents while Michigan had 9 months to prepare for us playing 2 chumps before us. Regardless, ND played poorly and had 5 turnovers giving Michigan 28 points I believe...we wouldn't have beaten many teams that day. As for the Fiesta Bowl last year, yeah you exploited our defense with the big play but that wasn't a shocker. Even with all the big plays, it was a one score game late until Pittman broke a big run. It would have been even closer hadn't a blown fumble returned by ND for a touchdown be ruled an incompletion. That was bs and even Gonzalez said he caught it...that was a 10 point swing because OSU ended up with a fg. Don't get me wrong, I love my team but I know we're one step behind right now. We don't have the depth, defense or special teams to be elite just yet. Do I think we could knock off OSU? Sure, anything can happen any given day. Would we lose a series..absolutely. I think Charlie's doing a great job, another couple of great recruiting classes to build some depth and we are there. You or any other OSU fan, I'm curious...who do you want in the championship game?

And by the way Doss, Navy will have 9 wins this year to go with the 7-10 win seasons they've posted the last few years to go along with a couple of bowl wins. As for Army...well, they aren't good but they did play Texas A&M better than Texas losing only 28-24.

touche salesman, touche. who do i want to play. i want to beat michigan twice in one season. but that creates problems since if michigan ended up winning we wouldnt have a real champ since we would be 1 and 1 against each other. i would love to show the country that usc isnt as good as the media thinks they are and i would love to play boise state(no chance of that happening) and show them what defense is. florida is my best guess of who plays and when we beat them i can say to all of the sec fans. yes the conference is strong but that doesnt mean that there arent better teams out there. remember at the end of the game when tressel made urban meyer give troy smith a rusty trombone. so after all that, i want to fuck florida up their stupid fucking asses, just for being in the sec.

I dont see Florida ending up in NC game. I dont think they get past Arkansas in SEC title game. I am afraid it will most likely be the blow hards from USC in the title game and I hope OSU mops the floor with their asses!!!!

I wish we could have a rematch of OSU and Michigan. If there were'nt the hit out of bounds giving OSU that first down, I know that game would have turned out differently. That penalty took the wind out of Michigans sails. They had the second half in the bag.....

OSU is scared to play Michigan again. That's why none of their fans want to see a rematch.

I think it should be a rematch. USC should not even be in the running after losing to Oregon St. You think either Ohio St or Michigan would be in the hunt if they lost to an unranked team? Dont think so.

scared to play michigan my ass. the only reason that is a bad idea is because if michigan found a way to win you still have a split national title since they went 1-1 head to head, same record and all. the only good thing about that scenario is that they might finally fix the bcs, somehow

The whole rating system is messed up. There needs to be a switch to a playoff system.

the whole idea of 'those that fail to win their conf need not apply' is horseshit. i will say from the outset that i'm a diehard LSU fan, so let that color the bias...however, it's quite clear that LSU, Ark, Aub, Fla and Tenn would manhandle--no, annihilate--the ACC and Big East conference champs, which i imagine in the 'don't win your conf title, you can't play for the marbles' scenario would be in some 8 team playoff. Michigan would annihiliate them, yet you're saying Mich can't play because they lost by 3 to the best team in the country? stupid way to go. NCAA b-ball is not limited to the conference winners, and yet they routinely win into the final four and beyond.
if you go to an 8-team playoff, then you go with the 8 best teams in the country, as voted by the coaches and the AP. screw all the computerized bullshit. sometimes a good team will get left out. sorry. that's the way it goes in March Madness too. but the bulk of the time, you will have the best in the country on the field, not some jackedup version of "best" by taking eight conference winners. Michigan, and i am no michigan fan, could destroy the entire ACC, the entire Big 12, nine of the Pac-10, the bottom 3/4 of the SEC. The Big East would be an appetizer at best. to keep them out because of a 3-pt loss to #1 is like saying Duke can't play in the NCAA bball tourney because it lost the conferance championship to N.Carolina by a bucket.
Ignorant.

I agree, I stand corrected. If 4 teams from the top 8 are in the same conference it would be completely unfair to them to kick them out.
Big Ten teams have a chance to prove the SEC folks wrong. Florida vs. OSU, Arkansas vs. Wisconsin. As bad as I hate it, I hope USC smokes Michigan and Florida smokes OSU so this bullshit "We shoulda been there" shit will end. Top 8 teams bracket up and play it out, and all this shit ends. BCS is definitely not the best way.
