ND has been over rated for at least 10 years. You put either team in the SEC and let them get beat up every week buy quality teams they would be both lucky to even see a BCS bowl... much less nation chapionship.

The SEC is by far the most over rated conference in the country. Arkansas is the best SEC team. I wonder how they would do against a team such as USC...oh, wait, never mind.

All I have to say is nothing new the SEC is king. OSU and Michigan's opponents know they are going to lose to them. In the SEC they will fight you to the end. Ohio State runs 3 plays and Michigan's D may be good but they are not coached well. USC is average. Ignore all that ABC and ESPN bullcrap. Watch some more football people it's all out there. Florida should be #2 at the moment. Anyone that has seen all the teams and has no bias must think that. Oh and those that use the Arkansas - USC game as leverage: Arkansas has a whole new philosophy now after tonight they would beat them. And for those that think the SEC is over-rated: Watch the NFL draft.

How in the hell does Arkansas jump ND in the coaches poll? They struggle to beat bottom feeder Miss St and move up? I know ND played a 3 win Army team but at least they destroyed them like they were supposed to. And USC passing Michigan....seems like everyone has already forgotten about USC losing to a below average Oregon St team just a few weeks ago. But' I'm not going to worry, ND will hand it to USC next week!!

OSU fan here, my sis graduated from there and I live in the state of Ohio. Man alive, that game was exhausting to watch. Those guys beat each other senseless. Even though OSU was in the lead for nearly the entire game, it was never decided until Ginn took care of that on-side kick. What a thrilling game. Props to the Wolverines, they played their hearts out. Troy Smith, not enough can be said about the guy, he just owns Michigan. Somebody over on foxsports.com is already comparing Smith to some guy named Joe Montana. Rematch? Are you kidding me? If OSU already beat them once for the Big Ten title and a berth, that should be it, period. Besides, my heart couldn't take it. I see OSU vs. USC in the title game. Should be a good one, but I can see the Buckeyes just dominating that game. Only teams from the Big Ten could ever pose a real threat to OSU because they play each other all the time and know how the conference ticks.

I'd like to christen Troy Smith with a very appropriate nickname. Mr. Troy Smith, I hereby dub thee Troy "Dr." Smith in recognition of your surgical-like precision, efficiency, and accuracy as a quarterback. People may refer to you as "Doc Smith" if they like, so long as everyone knows I started it!

That said, I see Doc Smith as a middle first-round pick and will make some NFL team very good on Sundays. First things first...the national championship!

BTW, just read that the tv ratings for the game were through the roof. Highest since 1993. Something like 13.9 million. Testament to the rivalry and just how good those 2 teams are. IMHO, quite possibly the greatest regular-season game I ever watched.

You have to admit the game lived up to the hype. . . As for the girl arguement, go to East Lansing.

Again, see the Tennessee/Cal score from early in the season to counteract your point.

Because ND has been over rated for 10 years... Hell GT should have beaten them. Tell them to play in a conference like normal schools and they might have some credibility. And on a side note I was not impressed with the Ohio state game... where is the defense?? Maybe I'm just use to seeing SEC play where there is defense and speed.

oh yes...a university world famous for its great football who last year against many odds and criticism beat the shit out some of the best football teams out there and is now this year 10-1 is "over rated"

You cant discount Arkansas because Miss State stepped it up and played like they had a National Title on the line. Miss State defense was awesome all day long. I hope your right, I hope ND beats USC like a rented mule. But OSU and Michigan are both WAYYYYYY over rated. I watched that game and they couldnt defend a Pop Warner offense. They rely too much on big plays, what happens when Smith doesnt have a hole or a WIIIIIIIDE open receiver? OSU loses, and Michigan was apparently WAY overrated.. I dont care if it is ND, USC, Florida, Arkansas in the title game, in my view they all deserve it more than Michigan, they had their shot saturday and LOST

That destroys my image of you as some Swiss guy who's never been beyond Europe, with the exception of NYC or Miami. Columbus? Wow!
