Noted. However, someone's motivation doesn't have much to do with it. While the answer itself is complex, why someone brings forth the issue is still not part of the conversation in and of itself.

By the way, in a "democratic election" the fundamental point is fairness that is created through the use of popularly supported law in an effort to bring about a fair election. If a significant law has been broken in the course of an election (such as someone running who should not be allowed to) then those laws have been broken and by its very definition it is no longer a "democratic" election.

In order for it to be a "democratic" election, the laws must be in place, popularly supported, and adhered to.

PS: On a whim I went ahead and did actual research. Factcheck.org is widely touted as a non-partisan truth in information site. It's been recommended by both Republicans (Dick Cheney endorsed the site during the 2000 campaign) and Democrats (Al Gore has also endorsed the site).

It's part of the Annenberg foundation.

In any case, a quick search there turns up Obama's birth certificate, and it's been checked on and found to be legitimate.

He was born in Hawaii, so I'm confused over what the fuss is.

Also, the idea that he was not born in the US to begin with is a hoax that was started during the campaign. It's not true. He's a natural born US Citizen in every sense of the word.

Note: That doesn't make him a good President. It does however, make him legal to be one should he choose to do so.

Twice now. Hawaii has released his birth certificate to the public TWICE. Both times it was officially confirmed to be true. Back in October of 2008 and AGAIN in July 2009. Both of Honolulu's MAJOR newspapers printed his birth announcement as well back in 1961. I'm disgusted by this thread and I don't even really like Obama.
