I had a membership for 3 years running, I guess now I'm a lurker. When I can afford it I will make my donation again. I don't post pics cuz I don't take pics or surf for other peoples stuff besides on this site. I have ammassed a happy favorate collection which has more redheads/almost redheads than the the entire site has tagged and if thats not a good enough contribution oh well. I also have a life, contrary to your insulting rating of me, and can only surf when I am free of the wife or work. PS I just found out I am now in remmision from Lymphoma/cancer and my wife is in remission from brest cancer 1 year now. Mayybe when she gets baack to work I'll upgrade.

I wouldn't consider you a lurker. You have 149 comments, you've made comments in threads, the babe gallery, and you've voted as well. While you're not the most active member, I'd say that you do contribute more than a typical lurker. On another note, you certainly don't need a sponsor membership to be an active member of the community. While the sponsorship is appreciated, it isn't a requirement to be considered a non lurker or non leacher.

One other thing and I will stop with the madness.
Invert the site layout. Put the porn related forums at the bottom of the page versus the top. As of now 3/4 of the forum index goes unseen by most because once they get to the porn section they stop scrolling. (I am guilty of this) By putting the porn section at the bottom people will have to scroll past the other sections and something might catch their attention on the way down. Basicly like marketers do in American stores. The stuff they want to sell (Mostly what they make the larger profit on) is at eye level and the hottest selling stuff is at the bottom of the shelf. This causes the shopper to to scan the shelf from eye level down to find the most popular things. This format would work well here to bring more attention to the various parts of the site other then the porn.

That actually is a simply brilliant idea...

It's all good, and the suggestion is solid too, but I have no idea if it would ever get changed...

I don't really care if you hotlink pro pics to the site, the fact remains it's against the fucking rules. Is it my fault you didn't read them, hypothetical person? No, you're just pissed off because I'm doing my job. Enforcing site rules that are there for a reason.
I like to think that my hilarious battles with Senja were part of what helped Diz realize that he was a complete twat and was ruining the forums.

Looks like to me, this site is like any other, there are just a few numb nuts(sorry) that over
a period of time, insult, bully or just plain ignorant to most new comers to the site.
Web chat rooms are worst but you can see it happening here, I guess you know who you are, yes????
Now I must try and Delete my profile, thank you, sbxx

I've been a long time frequenter (Is that a word? Don't care, I'm going with it...) of this site and have really enjoyed the time I've spent here. My lack of involvement has been for a number of reasons.
1) The cliche "lack of time". I've got so much going on in my personal life, that by the time I get home in the evening...I might poke around here to see what's what, but I'm just too tired (and lazy) to do much else.
2) Most of what I could post here would generally be repeats anyway. I'll use this chance to give a great "thumbs up" to everyone who goes out and tracks down new material. Way to go! Not sure where you're finding all of it, but keep up the great work!
3) There are certain motivations (i.e....."significant others". Haha) to avoid having too much involvement here. It invites unwanted questions. Haha.
4) The dreaded "noob/lurker/leacher" nomenclature and subsequent mocking/harrassment. I'm fine with some friendly back and forth, but far too frequently, it gets really out of hand. Am I a regular contributor? No. Does that mean I (or anyone else?) deserve to be outright ridiculed for whatever lack of involvement there may have been? Hell no. I'm here for great looking women and some incredible cars. I have zero interest in the stress that comes in dealing with some of the people around here. There have been a number of times I've wanted to make a comment about something, or request some info about a picture, etc.....but the almost guaranteed harrassement that would've followed just wasn't worth it.
Long and short of it....I really enjoy the site. If it looks as though the atmosphere has changed to really encourage new contributions/participation and allow for requests from those of us aren't regular participants.........then I would definitely consider a more active role.

I think for the most part the days of noob bashing is pretty much over. There is the odd time when it a really stupid question or a request that has been asked 100 times when people get a little carried away, but for the most part its sincere help, or its good natured joking around. People take things WAY too seriously sometimes.

If you're going on an online forum, I think you need to know that people aren't always the nicest to noobs, but I think this is a really good forum in terms of keeping the noob bashing to a minimum. And if you can't take a few jabs from people you don't know on the internet, you probably shouldn't be on the internet in the first place. Everyone here has been very welcoming! Haven't been here long enough to comment on the other things, but I really like the cars forum.
