I usually post topics on forums that interest me (mainly sports), therefore i'm usually busy posting on another site-forum. However, that's not to say that i wouldn't post responses here if a topic serves my interest. I usually get sidetracked by the other goodies on this site.

For one thing, it's the Damn attitude of the Mod's, they think they are
God. there are by far way to many rules on this site. And another thing,
that Damn Chick-upload, it is absolutely the very worst upload site on the
net. To fricken slow. Why on earth anybody would use Chick-upload is totally
beond me.WBW could be a good site if they were to lighten up a whole lot and
make it fun to use without all the Damm restrictions...!

and enlighten us with the restrictions and rules that seem to be bogging you down, how can we fix something if we don't know what the issues are?

I personally think the mods do a good job......And believe that the restrictions are what makes the site what it is. I personally love this site, and spend several hours a day here! Not just because of the ample supply of chicks either.

This thread isn't about the mods and their jobs though, the other idea I had was the idea of clearer expectations of a more community based site. Perhaps something on the homepage that doesn't change. Something that lists all of the things available on the site. A member of the day or week that gives them a sponser membership for that time frame. That could be based on activity or whatever parameter you wish. These are just brainstorm ideas. If I come up with something else I will post it as well.

Could you give some examples of the rules you don't like? Maybe there are reasons for them that you just don't understand...maybe you're right and they need to be changed. I think every one of us Mods are approachable if you have questions or suggestions. As Kevin said above, how do we know something is broken unless someone tells us?

Thanks for the support, I believe we work pretty hard to make this one of the best sites out there. Do we make mistakes? Are we human? Yes. Could some rules be changed or updated? Maybe, depending on what it is. This thread can be about the mods, I don't see why not. If someone has a legit problem with one or all of us, I encourage them to tell us why.

Also...I like the idea of a member of the week...or maybe month.

I've got two issues. My first one is the same as bethfux. The constant hammering on people to only post so many pictures per post, or to not post .rar files, or post .rar files if you posted thumbnails of every picture in the .rar file, the blacklisting of blah.com, the greylisting of maybethesiteisevil.com, the edict to not post pictures of women smoking pot because that's breaking the law, the demands to not show any pee or fecal shots(not that I'm interested in seeing that either but I can just click past).

I just get annoyed at watching the mods chew ass all day long. And even when the mods aren't doing it, the forum isn't a particularly nice place to hang out and chat. I've been very active in some forums in the past(I've been a geek since the days of BBSes) and some have come to feel like a strong community but I don't get that feeling here at all.

My second issue is simply that my life is very busy already with dealing with my physical community, running my business, fixing up my house, etc.

Despite all my criticisms the site does produce some pretty decent porn collections and there are a lot of knowledgeable people who can help you remember something if you forgot it. And there are definitely some members of the community that are really doing a great job contributing and helping each other out. I love it when someone posts asking for kinky suggestions for what to do next with their partner and people just pile on with all sorts of ideas. Best of luck in improving the community but until the vibe feels less like Baghdad and more like Amsterdam I'll be sitting on the sidelines.

I thought the blacklisting and greylisting of sites was to protect people? Surely if they let people post any links, they'd be risks of people clicking links to viruses and other nasty stuff? Or people spamming links all the time?

And talking of low posters, I keep getting people who have never posted a single post on the forum, message me. How can they be bothered to go to my profile and send a message, but are too lazy to stay on the thread they're looking at and post what they want to say there instead?! And it's not like they're saying anything super private like telling me they have a strange purple spot on their arse. They just say general stuff that people post anyway. *confused*

Is it just because throwing like 100 hotlinks in a single post would look shitty, or does it fuck up the site layout or something?

Greylisting is how we combat spammers and yes, protect members of the site from clicking bad links..most sites either have greylisting, or a post limit before being able to post links.

I believe after 100 posts we don't greylist links....

I had no idea you couldn't post pictures of girls smoking pot....that's kinda stupid.

The pissing and shitting thing is fucking bananas...and I'm glad our mods don't have to deal with that shenanigans.

I appreciate you guys posting and sharing your feelings with us, and while we might not agree on everything, like SP said...the more you learn, the easier it is to improve things.

@AT: Yeah, the fact they'll take their time out to message you, vs just posting in your thread is kinda silly.

The reason for this rule is two fold as far as I understand it. 1) If we allow a single post with say 200 pictures, if one of the links is broken, or mis-typed, it can take a lot of effort scanning through the post trying to find the broken one. 2) If we allow unlimited pics per post the page load speeds would become astronomically long. Believe it or not we still have members using dial up, who can't look at the threads now. Not everyone has super fast connections.

We've debated allowing rar files over and over again, and just recently allowed another trial run of them. The general consensus of members is that we are a porn site, and as such the pics should be displayed here. Another reason is that members are still often reluctant to click rar files fearing a virus or something.

Two reasons again. To protect members from spam and suspicious web sites.
Grey listing applys to members with fewer than 100 posts. Its a fact that the vast majority of spam on the site comes from members with few than 100 posts. After you have 100, your links are no longer gre listed.
Sites are Black listed for a few reasons: Spam, pay per click, and suspicious sites. Its really for the members protection. Not everyone is super web savoy.

Not sure about the pot pictures, I've never heard it being an issue in the past, but then again I'm fairly new. As for the pee/poop pics, we decided that isn't our thing. Its our right to decide what we want on this site and what we don't. The majority of the members are in agreement to this.

I think if you gave the non porn forums a chance, you would find there are good people in them willing to help or just lend an ear if need be, or make you laugh.
