The battle of London in WWII consisted solely of the Germans "carpet" bombing the city into rubble.

this is all way too easy. Considering we're all ont he internet right now, just type your question into a search engine and bingo. I don't know what the hell you mean by carpet though, the last great battle I've seen take place on carpet was when my dog pissed on it and I whooped her ass.

ok, i will sort things out clearly: it was a battle. it took place. and it is on a carpet/tapestry.
