Well, nerdboy, you can indeed be on (or rather IN) an airplane and not have it flying. I went on a tour of a small airport as part of a 1st grade field trip and got to sit in a Cessna that never left the ground that day. BFD, since it wasn't flying though. Of course I have been on board a flying airplane many times now. I can't say I was flying IN a plane since, well, I was actually sitting in it almost the entire ride and it's tough to hang glide in the cabin. Fuck face. JK. Maybe.

that's a pretty lame field trip, i would be mad if they just took me to a plane and said "see there it is, ok time to go now"

In my humble opinion they are a waste of pavement that could be used for dogs to pee on.

Exactly. Everyone knows that the system, no matter where you live, isn't perfect.

And the fact is where there is a way to take advantage of that system someone is going to find a way to

man i try and help every homeless guy i see. if i have change i give it away. * i stop after 5 dollar bills* coz im not shitting money. and if i dont have money to give i feel so bad and just wish them the best that can happen. ive done the volounteer work at the downtown windsor kitchen some of these homeless ppl are pretty cool n funny. i dunno just i hope god blesses everyone who needs it

I knew a crack addict that was getting a workers comp check every month for his"bad back", now yes he was worthless, but he chose the drugs to begin with that ended up frying his brain. Too many(I did not say all) people end up useless from different addictions and thats when I say I don't care what happens to them. We can't take care of people that really are out of luck and also the ones that couldn't handle the idea of being a responsible member of society. If people fuck themselves up, too bad.

i dont have much pity for people on drugs that KNOW theyre bad, but do it anyways..

Most homeless are in a vicious cycle of addictions that they can't get out of.

As far as Latinos question, I can speak for a family member that was homeless for 5 years, he got into drugs because he was lazy and lost his job for failing a drug test, then was kicked out of his mothers house for stealing her things to sell for drugs, then was arrested for stealing from stores to buy drugs then when he got out of jail he lived on the streets..He got clean from help from a church and now lives again with parents...So basically he made his bed..and he admits it

did the addictions come before or after they became homeless?

if before....then since you werent homeless, you chose the drugs..and its your own fault been that stupid
if after.....they had a chance before they became homeless to keep themselves in that situation, and if they still eneded up homeless, they could have chosen other avenues for help, instead of drugs

I live in Milwaukee here the homeless have lot a places to go for help.

there are always lots of places for them to go, it's just that a lot of them don't want to get help

I'd like to think maybe to my peril... that whatever situation i got in that was so low i have enough friends/intelligence and motivation to dig myself out of these problems.

I know that exact feeling, if you have a good network of friends and family, i also believe i could over come any type of situation.

But this also takes some kind of motivation which i think a lot of people that are on drugs or whatever, don't have, they give up and thats how they end up where they are.

I think that a lot of people play at being homeless and arn't, so speaking of the homeless, not the same old begger that's always at the same spot... they are mentally ill and mistreated by society. I know that in the US, a mentally ill person, or someone who is mentally ill has the right to make the choice to be homeless, even if they don't realize what that means.

I think it's wrong to allow the mentally ill and Mentally retarded individuals of the world choose to be homeless. They should have rights, and should be taken care of also. I feel pity and remorse for inability to do anything for those individuals. They don't last long here, once the temperatures reach 10 to 20 degree's below zero... there is no saving the mentally ill. All of those people (junkies, bums, lazy ass holes) who play the system should be shot. They neither contribute to society or give society a rational view of what it is to be homeless. They pretend to be mentally ill to make money. And they make alot of it, and when the time comes to find shelter, people believe that the homeless can and will go to these shelters, but the truely homeless, those with no home because of thier illness starve, die, or freeze to death.

Western europe seem to be only those borderline lazy, and are created by the social system (a much better system than america's) and every one else is taken care of... I like that the Mentally ill don't have to be homeless there, but it's still a problem that the lazy ruin a great social system. I don't think they should be shot there, maybe forced into labor camps or something extreme until it's a work or be forced to work system...

The answer is both. Some homeless people really have just gotten the shitty end of the stick their whole lives and can't help where they've ended up but many of them also put themselves there through heavy drug addictions or just a general lack of giving a fuck. You can't really say that all homeless people are just lazy worthless bums, some of them really have tried and due to mental illness or a whole host of other reasons just have gotten fucked out of a decent life. I have personally known both times of homeless people, some truly deserve a helping hand and would make the best out of it given a REAL chance not a homeless shelter that only pretends to help and others would take that opportunity and throw it away like they've done with every other opportunity they've had in life. The problem is trying to figure out which homeless people are which so that you can help the ones who deserve and say fuck the ones who don't. Except there's no real way to do that.

Slightly off topic but MOST diabetics caused themselves to have diabetes by being fat, out of shape, lazy bastards and throwing off their bodies natural chemistry.
