i can imagine you missing it, did you do actual paradrops into "hot" zone's ? thats what i respect about paratroops, they willingly and knowingly jump into a "kessel"... not the most tactical thing to do

I am actually surprised how heavy we are on US Military here. Either that or a lot of non-US mil members aren't speaking up.
I bet we all gathered at a pub somewhere there would a lot of what we called "Sea Stories".
I also hear the the Foreign Legion had a had a crazy training regimen. My hat is off to you for completing it.
Cheers to you all!

Didn't wear the uniform, but got screamed at repeatedly by senior USN and Marine brass for shit that wasn't my fault... If that counts for anything.

Something like that, only I was usually on or near a boat because shit was wrong. Like say, that other sub-contractor screwed the pooch on specs and then our (who I worked for) gear/app didnt work.
Just lots of time standing in Fire Control or maybe AMR#1 with my engineers, I'd get my ass chewed down to the bone and have to ask for more. I'm the first to say, that ain't nothing like wearing the uniform. Just lots of time dockside.
