So the wife went to feed Rocky, our flying squirrel this morning, and seems he passed away sometime over night. This makes me sad

You're right about how fast you can get attached to animals. I was taking care of a friend's dog for the past two weeks while he was away. When I gave the dog back on Wednesday, I was surprised at how much I missed having him around.

@ exocet, yup we've had our yellow Lab for just over a year now, and I'd be lost without her.

They had a backup generator, but only powered certain things, lighting was one of those things

One of the good things that came out of being hit by hurricane Wilma was that almost every store has backup generators now. If the neighborhood loses power, I can still get groceries.

He's running second to Hilary in most polls right now but has been gaining in popularity. I know I'm not the mod of this forum but let's try to keep politics away from the lounge.
