How do you lock and unlock the door to your house/apartment?
Those keys are separate. I didn't have my car key on a key chain or anything. It was all by itself. And now it's gone and I had to have my car towed to the dealership so they can cut a new one and reprogram it to my car.
Maybe get them to cut two?
In theory, sure. But not at $230 a key.
I have AAA, which covered most of the towing to the dealership (The first 10 miles, I think), and so the tow only cost me like $15.
The key itself costs $180, and then the dealer's fee to "program the key to my car" is another $52.
Insurance doesn't cover that, though.
You've made a mistake, sir.
You have to ransom the key for less than it costs for me to make a new one.
You say that but who do you support? The thief or the other thief?
Maybe he thought the original key had sentimental value? Thus, the ridiculously high ransom.
get an old thumper sucker, satrt it with a screwdriver
My old truck didn't have power locks and windows. I had to actually use the key to unlock the doors. The tumblers got so worn out on the drivers' side door that you could unlock the door with pretty much any Chrysler corporation car key. It was a Dodge and I used the key for my dad's Jeep Grand Cherokee to open the doors on quite a few occasions.
At that point isn't it fairly simple to just change the lock?
I mean, that's before the whole, "your key must be programmed to digitally communicate with the engine before it will start" era?
I probably could have swapped the door handles/lock out fairly easily but it wasn't really worth the trouble.
So I guess we will need to add at least two new rules to the upload pages:
x+1. Do not upload family albums.
x+2. Do not upload pictures of cokeheads.
What if you see a really hot cokehead...or have a hot sister!
What if your sister is a hot cokehead?
Then she'll be a hot date.
I see you've never dated a cokehead.
