I am an avid reader... My favorite authors are (in no particular order):
Piers Anthony
JRR Tolkien
Kim Harrison
RA Salvatore
Laurell K Hamilton
Anne Rice
Terry Brooks
If you know what types of books they write, you'll see a definite pattern.
Yeah, Cormac McCarthy's pretty great. His books make Faulkner look like a jovial trip through an idyllic South.
I loved reading Millineum Hospitality series by Charles Hall. Military dude interacts with tall white aliens. Believe it or not. Lost City of Z Charles Gann investigates Percy Fawcetts search for the lost city of Gold in the Amazon. A Course in Miracles power of the mind. Carlos Casteneda grandfather of the new age possibly.

Books gave my eyes myopia and my mind superpowers. Anyone else have this effect on them as well??
dude... you're talking to someone that is working on a second 6 foot bookcase. The first one is bursting at the seams. It's a great escape. I can't wait until the weather gets better so I can go out to the river with a book and just read the day away.
Books / erotic stories forum would be the way forward!
Well, but Thoreau wrote books about being a bean counter. I'm not a fan; transcendentalism is foolish.

It's required reading, but it's not too bad.
Working on The Rise of Horus. If anyone has ever played Warhammer 40k they will dig it.
