Hey boys, what are some awesome albums that you think other memebers here should know about? And this requires a little bit of effort on your part. Think before you post.

And here are albums I am currently spinning.

Mare - Mare EP - A Short 5 songs, but damn are they great songs. This is one of those albums where you have to listen to all the songs in a row or it just doesnt sound the same.

Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch - At first when you start to listen you think "oh, another Michelle Branch." but then once you do listen you feel like there should be a boxing match between Michelle Branch and Regina Spektor and Ms. Spektor would beat the living snot out of Michelle Branch.

Department Of Eagles - The Whitey On The Moon - Just listen. There are songs on their site and it's pretty damn good if I do say so for myself.

Okay, dont want to over whelm, but there are a few.

now what do you think is an album that is a must own?

The Mare EP is fucking astounding. that's the original singer from The End, I do believe.
Right now, I'm WORSHIPPING the new Esoteric CD "With the Sureness of Sleepwalking". Absolutely amazing.

Its effort to find those artists those two artists are indie and no one has ever heard of them on this forum i bet you. I know they have not heard of the last one cuz hes a buddy of mine destined for stardom!!!! And i am sure that ronnie martin of joy electric would like you to say effort is not there for his music

A album everyone should own is Pantera, Great southern trenkill.
It's basically a big slap in the face for the trend shit that is killing real music even today.
That's for the past albums.

Today the album I am most impressed about it Lamb of god, Ashes of the wake.
Despite the fact that it is on Roadrunner records (which is known to be the most sell out label fucking ever) lamb of god delivers here a album that fucking kicks ass, and I can't do anything else than love it.

Amen Bro!
Especially Slayer, fuck, they have been one of the leading Metal Artists for about 20+ years now. It takes alot more than just talent to do that. Hail Slayer.

Hmm another maybe not album... bit Creedence also needs some fucking pimpin on this board. I dig old rock, maybe many of you don't but listen to the lyrics, that shit is down!

There's too many from ramones self titled to velvet underground and nico.
But seeing as most people on the forum are from the states and I don't know how big this band are globally I'll plug them.

SIKTH - The trees are dead& dried out wait for something wild

High quality british metal band with severe experimentalism!

Checking sikth out right now.
Doesn't sound like Metal to me.

I'd compare them to Incubus with a mix of Earshot.
Not bad thou.

Sikth is fucking awesome and I definitely agree with Between the Buried and Me. Just saw BTBAM over the weekend at the Metalfest in Worcester and they absolutely killed. They opened with a new song, "Alaska" and it was definitely on par with what you would expect. Anybody here heard Pelican or Jesu? Both are on Hydra Head Records and totally essential.
