Startup Manager
I always used msconfig to manage unwanted startup items, but after some digging on the web, about some strange files that kept popping up on my system drive, i learned that msconfig is a power tool to find boot up errors only.

If you like me used it, enable ALL startup programs disabled in msconfig, and get this one to remove 'em with instead

I went back a few pages, and didn't see this one. It just saved me a reformat a few weeks ago. I somehow got several viruses, trojans, and adwares on my system, and it slowed down BIG time. Searched over at Extreme Overclocking forums, and found a link to Malware Bytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Downloaded it, installed it, updated, and then ran it, and it took care of ALL of the problems. My Avast found them, but couldn't fix them. Malware Bytes did.

yea, Malware Bytes AntiMalware is one of the best free solutions for removing spyware and trojans imo. but i dont think it can remove viruses.

i finally uninstalled my avast! last week. all it did was slow my computer down & was unable to fix the viruses it claimed it found.

I have been using Avast for several years now, for me it works better than any other free solution i know of, it have, (note i use "Comodo BOclean" at the same time) protected me well for all that time.

I just made a test from the following site:

Also check here, its on danish, but they say Avast is quite good aswell, and Avast wins the test followed by AVG at the 2nd place.

But i just tryed it out, and it seems decent, if you combine it with a good image/photo editor (i can recommend Paint.NET wich jsnd mentions in page 5 ) you have what you need to make animated pictures, for ect. your cell phone.

Any good ideas for bandwidth monitoring software?

I'm using http://www.bwmonitor.com/ right now, but I think my trial version is going to expire in like 3 weeks, so I'm curious if there's any other good alternatives.
