What do you prefer?Manual or automatic transmission?

In Europe about 75% cars have a stick. Unlikely in the US, people in Europe I think like driving with the sticks. A good driver can make acceleration wonders when he drives with a stick. I don't think it would be possible with the automatic-transmission cars. Anyways-fuck that, whot do YOU prefer?

I like both.. right now i have automatic transmission in my car.. I`m lazy driver..

I am aware tha auto transmission is just perfect for lazy drivers, but come on - don't you enjoy playing with the stick (in your car of course)

One thing more - Finnish are great drivers, they kick asses on the WRC tournaments

I prefer manual. I've just become so accustomed to it, that it is like "automatic" to me. Plus, I like the control I have over the car compared to an auto tranny. I can put the car's power where I want it rather than wait for the auto tranny to shift itself into the gear it thinks it needs to be in.

I prefer manual. Your acceleration is better with a manual, and frankly auto gets a little boring, if you ask me

I prefer automatic, it's much easyer to drive in traffic jam. Dont have to change gears - 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd and so on...
But I have manual transmission at the moment and it's OK too.

ehee, I dont live in Vatican actually. I changed my flag because so many guys from my own country started to ask me out...

didnt think people still drove automatics....

manual is the way to go..better control..mlore fun

I prefer automatic and with nowadays automatics you can practically choose if you want the car to shift or you want to do it yourself. I have an automatic in which I can choose and I never shift myself...It's that good a gearbox!

Depends on the type of car.

Definately have a lot more control over a vehicle with a manual transmission. What I don't like are the tiptronic types where the vehicle is either automatic or manual.(through electronics) Not the same..feels tto much like a video game.My friend had a mazda 6 as a loaner car last week while he was having work done to his millenia. I beat the living snot out of this car and did not like the feel of the "tiptronic".(mazda 6 is really a fun car though)

So I prefer a traditional manual transmission..

Once in my life I would love to try out one of those old school column shifters. :P

Stick shifts are the best
