What car is this?

I have just seen a TV-show about it and was astonished. i always thought i knew a lot about german cars. but, well i cant tell you too much

So what is your guess that this car is (= what does stand in the documents?).





first hint: it's not a Volkswagen 1303 (aka bug)

looks like a VW beetle a really old one

Well if it's not a bug, it might as well be because nobody would ever be able to tell the differance.

second hint: the chassis is a bug but the engine is not. also there were a lot of modifications done thast why it is no more registered as a VW bug.

Volkswagen Beetle...sheesh Jolly. Didn't think you were that young not to know that. Not to piss anyone off, but wasn't it developed by Hitler in an effort to produce a car similar to the Jeep during WW2? There was a book written about its development that I remember reading in high school when I owned one (73 Super Beetle), that said it was the first air cooled car since the engine was in the back there was no room for a radiator of the normal sense. It was the first air cooled car to go over 100 mph during development, and it held a few endurance records as well if I remember right. Look it up Jolly. You being from Germany should have an easier time of it then most of us.

or a Chevy small block. Been done over here in the states a few times that I know of

dude, i know what a bug is and when it was invented! but as i said in my first post (that you seem to not have read) it is NOT a bug!

the dudes with the porsche thing are on it

But yeah it sound like its a Bug body but porshe engine in it.

So we need to make up some name consisting out of the names that made it or what?

This is a fucking trick question. If the chassis and body is a volkswagon beetle then the car is a beetle. Doesn't matter who's engine it is, who's suspension or who's wheels.

no thats no trick question. it's a bug with a porsche engine doing 220 bhp. and it has a certain name and was only produced 2 times. it's a ..... beetle

how about a 1973 Super Beetle, guessing the engine is a type IV?

the year is in the range when it was produced. but it's not a SuperBeetle. and the engine is from a real porsche not only made there.
